I already know I'm saying no. It's just that I was supposed to go over two weeks ago, but completely forgot. I feel bad, so I at least want to go over there and listen to him. It's an hour out of my life, and it'll be off my conscience. I think I'm going to call today to see if we can do it later in the day. I love going to the cookoff. I always run into people I haven't seen in years.

Co-worker that I have to face everyday. If I come up with an excuse, he'll only keep asking.

I tend to treat people who are "friends"/"co-workers" pushing unwanted shit on me the same way I'd treat a telemarketer. If they really took the time to know me, they wouldn't be pushing their garbage down my throat. If they are just a co-worker, they can just piss off.

My time is worth more to me than that. But hey, to each his/her own.

man **** those people who try to sell some pyrimad bullshit like buying selling utlities and all that shit. I had those people always try to sell me on some shit. Even though I said no I let it bother me all day, f'em tell them they can a flying **** if they even give you any grief about it. I had one person even tell me "why wouldn't you want to be rich" I told him every time i get more money, my life has gotten worse. Best times in my life were working at blockbuster in st joseph scrounging up money for a 12 pack of keystone ice and playing guitar. Take your shit and shove it up your ass.

Stringing along amateur sales people is what makes them pathetic and annoying.

i went through that crap w/a coworker several years back. he was pushing his shit on everyone at work. most people would listen to him and some even got involved in his money making scheme. i let him know right off, i wasn't interested and didn't want to hear anything about it. for a few months, he'd just brag to everyone how much he was making. then, he got fired(after working there for 25 years) for not doing his job.
since then, he's opened a buisness that's failed and gone bankrupt.

If they're a friend(even acquaintance) worth having, they will respect your wishes to decline spending an hour listening to their BS. If they don't, then they certainly aren't someone you'd want to be friends with anyway.

if you really feel that you need to go to the money making jerkaround, just attend the chili cookoff first. eat a couple big bowls and then go fart through the proposal.

It's the type of thing where he won't tell me what it is, only that I will need to come find out. I asked a co-worker who went a few weeks ago, and she said it was some Fortune pyramid thing. I already committed (for the second time), so I have to keep my word and at least show up. He doesn't know that I know what it is. Maybe if I act kinda pissed afterward, then he won't bug me about anything like that again.

Anyway, I'm going to the cookoff. It's from 11-4. I go, leave, then go back, but it's $15 to get in.

My low rent shit bag of a cousin (who is a minister by the way) hit me up for a pyramid scam at my Grandfathers funeral last year.

call him and ask him what it's about.
if he won't say, tell him to stuff it.
if he tells you what it's about...tell him you're not interested and to stuff it.
