QB, RB, and WR Day at the combine

Begins in a few minutes... 10:00AM Central on NFLNetwork.

Just a heads up.

KChiefs1 02-22-2009 09:56 AM

IMHO, it's the best day of the whole combine.

kcchiefsus 02-22-2009 10:00 AM

Can't wait to see what Jeremy Maclin runs. It will be interesting to see who has the faster time between him and Darrius Heyward-Bey.

DaKCMan AP 02-22-2009 10:03 AM

for those that don't get NFL Network

http://www.justin.tv/stickinittotheman

DaKCMan AP 02-22-2009 10:08 AM

Percy ran an unofficial 4.37
Heyward-Bey an unofficial 4.32

DaKCMan AP 02-22-2009 10:08 AM

Iglesias unofficial 4.51

DaKCMan AP 02-22-2009 10:09 AM

Maclin unofficial 4.40

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:14 AM

Well, I posted this in the draft forum, but here it is out here:

Maclin ran a 4.4
DHB ran 4.32
Deon Butler ran 4.26
Johnny Knox ran 4.25
Kenny Britt: 4.48
Quan Cosby ran 4.44
Harvin ran 4.37
Iglesias ran 4.51

Maclin's time is mildly disappointing.

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:19 AM

Harvin looked stiff on that corner route. He really rounded it off.

mildly? most talked like he would be in the high 4.2s low 4.3s

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:26 AM

Mayock is realistically talking about Pat White running the Wildcat 15 times a game, and him running the option.

JFC.

He didn't run a 4.5.

Like I said in the draft forum, he looked tight when he ran. It'll be interesting to see what he runs at his pro day.

He ran exactly what he was predicted to run @ NFLDC.

he's ran a very low 4.3 before, I dont know what happened. I bet he runs better at his pro day. This stuff happens all the time.

And McShay JUST said Maclin was hurt and helped off the field....great.

The Bad Guy 02-22-2009 10:30 AM

I really think if H-Bey is there in the 2nd, we have to take him.

didnt that seem to happen every time he caught a ball?

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:34 AM

Rhett Bomar ran a 4.71 with 25 reps and he has a big arm.

Interesting developmental prospect for a team that has a solution at QB and can groom him for 2-3 years.

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:35 AM

If Maclin had a slightly tugged hamstring, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

He looked ginger when he ran the post corner too.

That's just stupid, Sauto.

He played 2 full years without missing a game. He blew his ACL during practice in non-contact. Shit like that happens.

If you want to talk about injury prone, talk about a guy like Orakpo.

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 10:47 AM

Sanchez ran a 4.88
Stafford ran a 4.84

Both better than Freeman.

Pat White ran a 4.5 flat.

hamas due to the fact that my family are all huge MU fans and i have watched every game i can tell you that almost EVERY time he took a hit he laid on the ground writhing in pain and limped off the field to miss a play or two, ok maybe almost every time is an exaggeration, but enough to make me wonder if he will be able to stand up to the nfl's physicality. i wasnt even bringing up the ACL.
and to play doesnt mean you're not injured hamas. you can play hurt but how effective was he in some of those games

melbar 02-22-2009 10:50 AM

Mayock saying Stafford "blew coaches away with his board work"

Yeah, he was limping off to the tune of catching 180 balls and returning all their kicks the last two years in addition to serving as a third running back with all the carries he took in the zone read.

FWIW, his second 40 time is in...4.37.

To be honest Maclin did always seem like he was banged up after hits. Some guys just can't take the hits like others. Doesn't mean he isn't good, just not the toughest guy out there.

Exactly.

Poor Beanie Wells had to to the broad jump 3,104 times today. He could jump...he just couldn't land.

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-22-2009 11:32 AM

So...Larry English weighed in at 274 pounds according to NFLDC...that makes him a perfect size for a 4-3 end.

smittysbar 02-22-2009 11:34 AM

Anyone know what time they are throwing?

DaKCMan AP 02-22-2009 11:35 AM

Louis Murphy ran a 4.34. He'd be great value in the 3rd round, steal in the 4th.

He looked really stiff when he ran. I'm not surprised.
