stevieray 03-05-2009 03:21 PM

good for you, brad....I wish more fathers gave their sons reasons to say this loud and proud.

L.A. Chieffan 03-05-2009 03:24 PM

my bad, carry on

Warrior5 03-05-2009 03:53 PM

Good deal, nut!

gblowfish 03-05-2009 03:54 PM

Good for them, and no fire sale Larry Johnson stuff either!

redngold85 03-05-2009 04:04 PM

my dad has a "Chiefs" room in my parents house where literally everything is something Chiefs...the floor is carpeted with green astroturf-looking stuff, the ceiling is painted like a sky and has a Budweiser blimp hanging from it...I'm telling you, it's all out...down to the knobs on his computer desk being Chiefs helmets...I'll have to ask him to send me some pictures of the room and post a thread on here about it...he's a lurker, so I doubt he would....

anyway...my wife and I went to a game two years ago and were in Price Chopper shopping for groceries the day before and I saw these huge red banners hanging from the ceiling that had a Chiefs arrowhead and the phrase "Chiefs and Chopper" written vertically. I went to customer service and asked what I could do to get one and the guy told me to come back the next day after the game and talk to the store manager...so after my wife and I watched the Chiefs dominate the 49ers 41-0, we went back to the Price Chopper and I talked to the manager, who gave me one for free!

I brought it back home and gave it to him for his birthday....and he cried LMAO...he said out of all the things in his Chiefs room, it's probably top 3.....

can you say favorite son?

Flopnuts, DeezNuts, and blueballs all say hello. Give your family their best.

bogey 03-05-2009 04:20 PM

I hope you said this out loud to your parents. Stop everything you're doing, get your parents attention and say "hey, I love you guys"

Cool to hear nut. I'm more of a fan of defense, but I will admit it was fun watching those three tear up the turf.

My parents are awesome too. The Amazon Kindle they got me for Christmas finally arrived yesterday after being back ordered since December 1st...
