A Dating question

So you go out on a first date with a smokin hot guy/gal you have your drinks and eats and decide to head back to your place. You both decide to drive (and are capable of doing so) so that he/she can leave when they want (read: when you are done) anyway in-route to your casa de amor he/she rear-ends you in a minor accident, there is damage to your vehicle, most likely going to require a trip to a body shop. There are no injuries just broken vehicle parts. Do you exchange insurance information? Do you call the cops? Do you just say "aw shucks it ain't nothin I can't fix in the mornin"?

Inquiring minds want to know
Void where prohibited
batteries not included
if its a repost suck on it

Mr. Flopnuts 03-12-2009 02:04 PM

He needs to pay for it. Personally, or insurance wise.

Jilly 03-12-2009 02:04 PM

ROFL you're screwed, literally and figuratively.

BigCatDaddy 03-12-2009 02:05 PM

If I'm getting some from this hot chick, then I'm letting it go.

keg in kc 03-12-2009 02:07 PM

You're complaining because you got rear-ended after a date?

(rimshot)

keg in kc 03-12-2009 02:07 PM

And I'd exchange insurance.

And exchange info, regardless. If you fix it yourself, it'll cost an arm and a leg these days, with these plastic bodies cars have now.

Yup.

Katipan 03-12-2009 02:10 PM

Her insurance needs to pay for it, but calling the cops is a little overboard.

Did she make up for it?

Valiant 03-12-2009 02:10 PM

Don't you want to be rear-ended???

Seriously though, if you are on good terms just have them pay for it..

If not on those terms what is the time you can file for a police report?? Don't you need a police report for insurance companies if you go that route between two cars??

Not from my experience.

The deductible is probably going to be $500 or more. Is the sex going to be worth that much?

That would be a deal at the Bunny Ranch, according to HBO.

What that you want to be rear ended by a guy??

Or that you have to file a police report if you want someone else insurance to cover your damage??

I was under the assumption that insurance agencies will do what ever they can not to pay and a report is the only way to do it.. Unless the person says they hit your car and will sign a confession..

Well if he was leading(because he was leading to his place) then he got rear ended by the other person..

About 7 or 8 years ago, I rear ended someone (with my car). I gave him my insurance. I went home and called my insurance company, and he had already beat me to it! It just felt wrong not to fill out a police report, so I did a walk in that night.

I guess I just assume insurance companies will try and weasel any way out of it if they can..

Awww. That used to be my line when I'd bartend. Always made drunk guys smile and buy more.

"How can I go if I haven't come?"

Iowanian 03-12-2009 02:43 PM

If its minor damage, you don't have to involve the police anyway.

An exchange of insurance and 2 bids should get it fixed. If it were me, if it wasn't alot of damage, I'd probably want to just pay for it to be fixed instead of involving insurance.

* I try really really hard to NEVER get rear ended though.

CoMoChief 03-12-2009 02:44 PM

Never call the cops in that kinda situation. Just settle it the next morning.

Exchange info after a good morning ****.

Dartgod 03-12-2009 02:46 PM

If his lawyer is any good, he will get the sodomy charge reduced to "following too closely".

In this economy I don't care how attractive someone is, I would have fell down moaning and groaning about my neck. I would get a personal injury lawyer and sue them for all the insurance they have and more.

Then with your money you can go on a lot more dates. Money is quite attractive to some.

IF your too drunk to drive, last thing is a police report at the time/scene of accident.
Insurance for sure.

Iowanian 03-12-2009 03:41 PM

Insurance is going to want to know some things.

For example, after the first front to rear contact, or was it after the back side car backup and rammed into the rear of the front multiple times causing the damage?

The real issue comes down to manners.....like on a first date, do you push your date's stool in...at the restaraunt.

Only if you're really lucky.

Otter 03-12-2009 05:50 PM

How hot is he/she is the deciding factor. If she's a 9 or 10 play guilt card for all it's worth and report a hit and run in the morning after she leaves and you sober up.
