So...what are your opinions on the idea? Just curious how the numbers look.

Katipan 03-25-2009 08:19 AM

Does "Meh" mean "I don't really care" ?

Dr. Johnny Fever 03-25-2009 08:20 AM

Booo... hiss... yuck... gross... bleh... UGly... crap... sick... puke... poopy... dead puppies... ewwww...

Other than that I don't care.

DeezNutz 03-25-2009 08:20 AM

I'm ready for the Gaz option to go away.

It's in the dictionary! Look it up! :p

(And yes, that's what it means.)

I am far more pumped up about that story than I am about the uniforms.

Other than the fact that step daddy will buy game tickets now.

I think they should get rid of the texas thing and put Kansas/Missouri with the star. Don't like being a Dallas fan even for just a few games...

I actually like it - even ignoring the homage to Gaz himself. I hate when a poll is on a topic I really don't have an opinion about, but I'm forced to pick an option in order to see the results. The Gaz option gives people something to click when nothing else makes sense.

Dr. Johnny Fever 03-25-2009 09:38 AM

I'd like to see "Gaz" changed to the name of a person who has never posted. That would truly mean "I don't give a shit other than to log on."

Why are you "forced" to do anything? Don't participate.

But I want to follow the conversation. I may not have an opinion, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the opinions of others. And I hate having to click the "view results" button every time I go back into the thread.

I don't care for them. The early Chiefs unis would be fine.

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:28 AM

I think it would be cooler if the game was on prime time in Dallas and only for that game.

I wish many would go away and Gaz would come back. Shit in one hand and wish in the other.

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:31 AM

Did the Chiefs ever actually wear this symbol? Forgive me I'm young, but I've never seen anything but the Texas or the Arrowhead on our helmets.

reiko57 03-25-2009 10:32 AM

i wish they would just wear red on white at home and white on white on the road, teams shouldn't have a bunch of lame uniforms, they should just stick to two all the time

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:32 AM

I didn't know it was going to copy all that... so the right one is what I'm asking.

Football white-on-whites are some of the lamest uniforms in sports. Don't like them when the Chiefs wear 'em, don't like them when the Gators wear 'em.

Sully 03-25-2009 10:42 AM

White on white is awful.

Heres all the 8 Throwback Uni's

http://static.nfl.com/static/content...0321_SWIDE.jpg

The order in this picture is:

Chargers, Broncos, Chiefs (Texans), Raiders, Titans (Oilers), Bills, Jets (Titans), Patriots

(Note all head coaches present, except for Bill Belicheck [loser])

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:52 AM

So will all the Broncos helmets have 45 on it? Because hes holding up Jay's #6 jersey... I also just noticed the Chargers is like that too.

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:52 AM

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that was a dumb question, they will likely have their numbers on the helmet...

I agree... and the red pants are embarrassingly gay... and not in the good way.

I know the Chargers are wearing their 1963 uniforms this year.

I checked and don't see anything about the Broncos being around in 1945. Also they don't have any #45 in their Ring of Honor.

RustShack 03-25-2009 10:57 AM

What if they wore Gold pants with Red Jerseys like Iowa State and USC :hmmm:

Buck 03-25-2009 10:57 AM

LOL @ McDaniels holding the Cutler jersey.

Sweet Daddy Hate 03-25-2009 11:06 AM

**** white on white; that is some awful shit. And the red pants WOULD look cool if they'd just go two white stripes with gold in the middle like the home jersey uses on the sleeves.
If you look at our uniform, you'll see that the sleeve stripes and the pants stripes are the same and meant to go together( ala white on white ), but they added extra clownery on the red pants, and that's why they can look utterly stupid at times.

Anyway, just remember this:

At McArrowhead, we do it all for you, and you deserve a break today.

Meh.

Crush 03-25-2009 11:27 AM

White on white looks like the Chiefs are playing in their pajamas. Plus, it reminds me too much of Marty for some reason. Just say NO to white on white.

MOhillbilly 03-25-2009 11:32 AM

i like the Oilers one.

Warrior5 03-25-2009 11:53 AM

I'm OK with the 1960 uni for the one (1) game against Dallas, but I don't like three games. We're the Kansas #$%^ing City Chiefs.

Concerning the Gaz option on polls, this:

I don't really like it.

I like throwbacks, I think they should wear the oldest Uni they had IN KC.

crazycoffey 03-25-2009 12:33 PM

new thread, same opinions, I like it. What's not to like?

It's the 50th anniversary of the AFL
+
the original AFL teams are wearing thier throwback jerseys from 50 years ago
+
50 years ago the KC Chiefs were known as the Dallas Texans and wore a texas logo on thier helmets
=
WTF cares if there's a Texas emblem on our helmets for a few games, it's just to honor our founding father, lamar hunt, who's name happens to be on the AFC title trophy, and founded AFL; Coined the term "superbowl"; and brought the team to the mid west, despite always living in Dallas.

KK Soapbox quote yesterday; "Would the Titans where the Oilers helmet? No! They wouldn't..." ROFL

Buck 03-25-2009 12:45 PM

I think all teams wear them 3 times?

I wonder when they are announcing which games...I guess we'll have to wait until the Schedule comes out.

I bet the Week 1 Chargers/Raiders MNF game and the Bills/Pats MNF game both teams will wear them, and I heard that the Chiefs will wear them against the Cowboys (weird, they aren't an AFL team). Other than that I haven't heard anything.

I think its more so they were both in Dallas at the same time and in a way were rivals without actually playing each other.
