Tony G has cleaned out his locker

NFL Network, expecting to be traded.

**********

Per Rotoworld
NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that there's an "80-85 percent chance" that Tony Gonzalez will be dealt to the Falcons this offseason.

Lombardi says Gonzo has already cleared his Chiefs locker in anticipation of a deal. The Chiefs lost their second-round pick in February's Matt Cassel trade and are reportedly willing to send Gonzalez to Atlanta for the No. 55 overall pick. Gonzo recently turned 33, but obviously can still play. He caught 96 passes for 1,058 yards (11.0 YPC) and 10 touchdowns in 2008.

Just a rumor. No source was ever named. The guy said a trade to Atlanta was probable at 80% to come to fruition.

Enjoy Atlanta Tony.

Pioli wouldn't do something like that to me. I've had Pioli's back since the beginning. We have a deal.

I'm pissed. Unless they get 3 1sts for him, it's not worth it. He's given everything to the Chiefs and deserves to retire a Chief. He hasn't slowed down and I think he could play another 5 years or so.

If we get more than a 3rd he's the ****ing mafia. We're talking a rent-a-player who might go two years, regardless of how good those two years will be.

wait if he doesn't want to be a chief, he doesn't deserve to retire a chief. We deserve players that return the loyalty that the fans have given him. He thinks he "deserves" a ring. Again....I hope that he fades to obscurity. I cannot root for him to get a ring.

Didn't the Cowboys give up two 1sts for Joey freakin' Galloway at one point? That trade still amazes me.

I'd give up three firsts for a 27 year-old Peyton Manning or Tom Brady (with a good knee).

Why? the dude did everything in his power to bring KC a ring. KC didn't return the favor. Let the man become a champion. Even though KC drafted TG, KC didn't make TG a star. TG put KC in the spotlight. KC owes him.

Nope. Defending that dude has LEFT THE BUILDING. I gave him a pass on the record-breaking, Donko game pissy-fit.

I gave him a break every time he went to the Pro Bowl and did the( everybody say it with me )"I've never won a playoff game, I don't know what it's like" pity-party. Enough of that shit!

Didn't Clark say right after the Owners meetings that they were not trading Gonzo? Could have sworn I watched the presser where he said that.

Either pushing up the price tag or Pioli just told him, "I thought you were gonna let me do this".

Maybe Lombardi dosen't know what he is talking about.

He's played on some good teams in KC and was absolutely prioritized in KC and deservedly so. It's not either or. A tight end can't carry you. I think that he's the greatest tight end to ever play. But how many years in a row has this guy asked for a trade? I have more respect for a guy that is a team guy. I understand what you are saying, and I'm sure that he's a good guy....just never has liked KC as much as KC has loved him. He will never play in another place like Arrowhead.

What are the chances he goes to Atlanta and their coach and QB have a sophmore slump and the Chiefs have a 2008 Miami like turnaround? :doh!:

Isn't it nice that a team that was 4-12 the same year we were, and had no more talent then KC, made changes in the FO and at coach a year before we did, drafted well, and now our HOF TE is worth a second rounder to them and the second rounder is now worth more to us some how.

If TG is worth more to us in a trade for a second round pick when we have no $ issues and need all the play makers we can get..........

Sorry I find that depressing.

Yeah, because the Chiefs have defensive players equal to the Falcons.

The Falcons have several high first round picks on their roster. They didn't have a roster bereft of talent, unlike the Chiefs.

I've always liked him. He's always put out 100% on the field and deserves total credit for that. But it really is the whole "trade me" thing that has done me in toward him. If we keep him, I will still like him as a player. I would like to see him just be content to be a Chief and go out as a total class act, proud to be a chief his entire career, having left everything out on that field in arrowhead. He would retire here as the most decorated Chief (next to maybe Lenny Dawson) in the history of the franchise. But He can't see the value in that.
