Tony G has cleaned out his locker
NFL Network, expecting to be traded.
********** Per Rotoworld NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that there's an "80-85 percent chance" that Tony Gonzalez will be dealt to the Falcons this offseason. Lombardi says Gonzo has already cleared his Chiefs locker in anticipation of a deal. The Chiefs lost their second-round pick in February's Matt Cassel trade and are reportedly willing to send Gonzalez to Atlanta for the No. 55 overall pick. Gonzo recently turned 33, but obviously can still play. He caught 96 passes for 1,058 yards (11.0 YPC) and 10 touchdowns in 2008. Related: Falcons |

It's good that he's tidy.

Just a rumor. No source was ever named. The guy said a trade to Atlanta was probable at 80% to come to fruition.
|
Interesting...
|
he fold his underwear too
|
Nice, very nice.

Wow, no shit?

crap.

I don't think the NFL Network is just going to throw shit against the wall to see what sticks like WPI.
Enjoy Atlanta Tony. |
Damn, I have to leave for class in 15 minutes.
I'll have a lot of catching up to do come 10:00. |

Wow. Guess they really wanted back in the Second Round.
Who's still available at WR? |
I still want Hakeem Nicks...

Complete the following phrase: "The Deal Is_____" |
Pioli wouldn't do something like that to me. I've had Pioli's back since the beginning. We have a deal.

I bet it is more than a 2nd...

I'm pissed. Unless they get 3 1sts for him, it's not worth it. He's given everything to the Chiefs and deserves to retire a Chief. He hasn't slowed down and I think he could play another 5 years or so.

I bet it is a 2nd and a player...not another pick.

3 1sts that post literally made me spit soda everywhere.

I don't think you could get 3 firsts for Mario Williams let alone an aging TE.

He's not being traded. They're just offering him to the Broncos to get another QB or two to leave.

we're no longer building a franchise around a TE... |
I'll be sad to see him go. I started watching the chiefs weekly when he became a Chief, and i was really excited to see what Haley & Gailey could do with him.
|
Damn I didn't think anyone would bite.

Didn't the Cowboys give up two 1sts for Joey freakin' Galloway at one point? That trade still amazes me. I'd give up three firsts for a 27 year-old Peyton Manning or Tom Brady (with a good knee). |

can't understand people getting upset about a player who has repeatedly pronounced his desire to leave..
plus, we've already gotten his best years....trading him is a total win...getting a 2nd is an epic total ****ing win... and now we can try building the team around the QB instead of the TE....crazy...i know |

I gave him a break every time he went to the Pro Bowl and did the( everybody say it with me )"I've never won a playoff game, I don't know what it's like" pity-party. Enough of that shit! DONE. OVER. SEE-YA! |
I thought I would care more.

Didn't Clark say right after the Owners meetings that they were not trading Gonzo? Could have sworn I watched the presser where he said that.
Either pushing up the price tag or Pioli just told him, "I thought you were gonna let me do this". Maybe Lombardi dosen't know what he is talking about. |

Falcon fans are polling. I voted for three firsts. |
I'll definitely be sad to see him go. Chiefs fans can be brutal turncoats I tell ya...
This guy's played his heart and soul out for this team. I don't mind him wanting a shot at a ring before he hangs it up. I hope he gets one. GREAT player. I appreciate all he's done in his time here. One of my Top 5 all-time Chiefs. |
TG and Cassel for Ryan. You heard it here first.

If the Chiefs pull this trade off I'll be stoked. I wanted the 3rd during last season and thought no way KC would get better value after the season.

Guess Carl was wrong as usual.
"They'll run me out of town if I trade you". But then again, if was Carl handling the deal; probably so. |

I find it humorus how some say he deserves a ring or a chance with another team Like it's a gimmie just because he changes teams he gets to the SB.
What are the chances he goes to Atlanta and their coach and QB have a sophmore slump and the Chiefs have a 2008 Miami like turnaround? :doh!: |

it's not personal...he's a great player, i loved watching him
but we've gotten his best and now we need to move on...and he seems to want to move on as well win win |

I just don't get all the backlash from fans that accompanies it. |
Isn't it nice that a team that was 4-12 the same year we were, and had no more talent then KC, made changes in the FO and at coach a year before we did, drafted well, and now our HOF TE is worth a second rounder to them and the second rounder is now worth more to us some how.
If TG is worth more to us in a trade for a second round pick when we have no $ issues and need all the play makers we can get.......... Sorry I find that depressing. |

 The Falcons have several high first round picks on their roster. They didn't have a roster bereft of talent, unlike the Chiefs. |
according to micheal smith on espn, KC isn't interested in trading Tony
couldn't tell if he had a source or was just offering an opinion |
