KU has a lot of returning lettermen. I haven't seen the schedule yet so I won't predict victory.

I'm going with Mr. Reesing and the Hawks.

It's no easy schedule by any means..but it's not entirely impossible to think we could come out 10-2.

This poll should be called who will get blown out by OU or Texas.

Truth. The North has about .00001% chance of beating the OU Bradford's or the UT McCoy's.

I'm going to go out on a (homer) limb and say the hawks beat OU this year.

Out of all the teams that played OU last year prior to the BCS - the hawks gave OU (in their house) their toughest game of the season.

If the defense gets better, it could be a special season in Lawrence this year.

KU should be better than last year even. Missouri is going to be down I think a little bit. I would expect Nebraska and KU to duke it out for 1st in the North. Gonna be hard to beat the experience KU has coming back in Reesing and that receiving corps.

KU will win, but at least MU has one thing going for them this season. They no longer have Chase Daniel choking away big games. LMAO

Nebraska and Mizzou have the easiest schedules. KU will probably finish 4-4 in conference again next season and the winner of the north will likely be the winner of the NU at MU game.

I think KU will have their hands full with that schedule, but I refuse to pick for or against them yet.

KU has more experienced talent but the others are better off schedule wise. No one in the North should have to play OU and Texas in the same season.

Paul Rhodes is doing everthing right. He brought in the Rice OC that brought them a great spread offense. He brought in the South Florida DC that brought them a great defense. ISU's secondary coach is the one they had a little bit back when their defense was good and the secondary was the strength.. he turned down a BCS schools offer for the DC job and returned to ISU to coach the secondary again. They have also had some not top, but pretty good recruiting classes the last few years. Just wait, its coming. My personal favorite is sophomore RB Bo Williams who transfered from Florida, he was one of the top RB's in his class and is very big and fast. Hell ISU's QB set a few passing records last year his sophomore year in a pro style offense, they will be running the spread now, and it will make him look even better.

If I were a betting man I'd pick KU. Mainly because of the players returning.

I'd love to pick Mizzou but KU will win it this year. They have a ton of players coming back while Mizzou basically lost everyone. Mizzou still has talent but it's young and unproven.

I'm not even convinced that Mizzou will beat out Nebraska for 2nd place.

I am going to pick my Jayhawks. Not because of being a homer. Well, maybe a little bit. Moreso the fact that they are bringing back a lot of experience. OU and UT will be very tough. I expect us to get killed by UT but the OU game could be interesting. Also, Texas Tech may be winnable considering they lost some great players.

I would say that Nebraska will be KU's biggest challenger. Pelini seems to have them on the right track back to being a college football power once again.

MU may surprise and win some games that nobody thought they would. But I just don't see them playing at the level they have the past couple of seasons due to all of the great players they lost.

CU is hard to take seriously if they keep Cody Hawkins at QB.

KSU is a question mark at this point. Snyder was once a great coach for them. You gotta wonder if he has anything left in the tank. His last 2 years were less than impressive to put it mildly. And have they been able to recruit any kind of talent? Coaching staff he put together seems to be pretty solid.

ISU won't be challenging for anything. At least not yet.

Yeah, you knew that would be a disaster going in. At the college level having your dad as the HC creates some problems.

I'm just going to throw it out there, ISU didn't lose anyone. Their best players last year were mostly freshman and sophomores(on offense, more juniors on defense).
