Just saw his interview about the local media's treatment of Hillman and the Royals. It was a tirade of expletives against the radio assholes who have no clue what they're talking about and spewing their venom. Rock on, George! Jack Harry is the biggest douche bag in the world with Kevin Keitzman holding the nozzle.

Never understood the anger towards sport talk journalist types. They are doing their job. They wouldn't have any listeners at all if they didn't have strong opinions that people can agree/disagree with. Hell, the people that constantly bitch about them wouldn't continue to listen to them if they didn't do what they do. If you don't like it, don't listen.

George is right. The fact is a lot of the criticism this year came from his handling of his relievers and in particular his unwillingness to use Soria. Then it turned out that Soria was hurt, but it was too late by then because we all know it'll be a cold day in hell before your average armchair Manager admits he made a mistake. Instead they go with their initial incorrect impression and keep on looking for reasons to criticize Hillman. You see a lot of the same shit from posters on these forums.

I think one of the funniest things is the last few seconds when he finishes telling his story and then turns around like nothing weird was just said and asks who's pitching.

I agree that some of the locals go overboard on Trey. They can question him all the want. The part I don't like is how every move they question they act like he was wrong because he's in over his head and this is unique to Hillman. I've lived in like 5 MLB markets and listened to shows in all of them. The mistakes Trey makes are basically the exact same ones managers in every other city make. They're the same ones fans in every city question.
