Memorial Day weekend
 

Everyone else have a three day weekend coming up? Anyone have big plans?

I'm driving down to Branson tomorrow after work to meet frazod and his wife for dinner. Going to put fresh flowers on family's graves on Sunday. Dad usually cooks out on MD, so I'm sure he'll do that again.

I'm driving out to the esteemed/prestigous Bugeater estate for corn dogs and Chili and Miller lite. :Lin: he is a most hospitable host.

Got a 4 day weekend. Started roughly 6 hours ago. PBJ

Housewarming party on Saturday. Relaxing on Monday. That's about it.

I don't like Miller Lite either.

My three day weekend means I get two days of work to do on Tuesday. I'd just assume work the damn thing.

I have to go pick up a car in Rigby, ID. I am going to hang with my brother in Idaho Falls Saturday night for some tasty beverages and dinner, then drive home Sunday. Monday, I load my ATV's and head for the mountains. With the warm weather, the streams will be high and fast, just right. Time to have some fun.

I am going to enjoy doing nothing. I think we have a 20 some odd mile hike planned, but thats just an excuse to smoke outside.

Same thing. Got tomorrow off and driving to StLoser to watch the Royals beat Cards ass. coming back Saturday for a friends bday party at Dolce. Day at the lake on Sun(weather permitting). BBQ with the fam on Monday. Looking forward to every minute, feeling extremely blessed. :)

Spending the weekend in Olathe watching my son play soccer in the KC invitational. Hopefully they are still playing on Monday(finals)! First weekend in 20yrs or so that we have not been at the lake. So I'm sure it will be a beautiful weekend with no rain or wind!!!

A bunch of people get the day off for my Birthday on Monday... :)

One brother has a '57 Chevy, a '57 Nomad, a '60 Vette, a '66 Chevelle and a '64 Corvair convertible. The other one has two '53 Chevys, one a convertible that didn't come out that way. It has no top.

4-day weekend because I'm taking off tomorrow. Going down to South Florida and being Awesome, as usual.

3 day weekend is pretty ****ing juicy right now. I don't know what I'm doing, but it'll be whatever I feel like for 3 solid days. I'm good with that.

Some of us don't get the luxury of having holidays off. Or weekends.

I hate my job sometimes.

My plans are day to day,Mrs' Nzoner's dad is very ill and hospice is saying any day now.We've been out of town at his place for 3 days but I'm heading back tomorrow because my lil bro and his family are flying in from Georgia this weekend and will be here thru Thursday.We're supposed to be having a cookout Monday and going to Royals game next Wed but needless to say those plans could change quickly.

Be sure to say "thanks" to the men and women who served in the armed forces, despite if you support or don't support the wars. Even if you don't know a person, and say he/she is wearing a military uniform/hat, etc, take a few seconds out of your busy schedule, and ask if they served. If they didn't, apologize and move on. If they did, tell them, thank you, and continue back to your daily busy schedule.

It's the honorable thing to do.

Saturday morning: with Boy Scouts placing flags on graves at military cemetary.

Saturday afternoon: visiting aging and terminally ill veterans at the local VA hospital.

Saturday evening: flying out of KCI with my wife for a week-long vacation to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

mrs. sec is heading to eastern il. for her nephews graduation party, then to visit her grandmother in a nursing home.

got the yard mowed last night. taking uncle ernie to bunker, mo in the morning to stay a few weeks w/his cousins family.

outside of ushering in church Sunday, i don't have any other plans. prolly take a nice long ride on the bike, and just hang around the house drinking a few brews.

3 day weekend, coming home to Blue Springs, but have to drive back to CoMo evening of Memorial Day so really I can't get hammered that day like I had planned.

Sat going out on Blue Springs Lake on my buddies speed boat, then a BBQ that evening. Then a camp out. good times. LOTS of beer and weed.

After 7 months of only seeing each other on weekends, my wife and boys are moving up here with me this weekend. We are going to cram into my 1 bedroom apartment while we look for a house to rent.

It will be cramped quarters for a little while, but it is so worth it to me just to be back together.

Congratulations man, that can't have been easy.

I feel you on this one. Just two weeks ago, I replaced the water pump, thermostat, belts, and radiator hoses on my 1963 Electra. We had the radiator off, and I was like well I might as well get it rodded-out, and I sent it to a shop we do some work with, well they had to replace the core on it. Ended up costing me over $400 bucks just for the radiator. In her (my 63's) defense everything was original on it, I ended up snapping three bolts in the housing on her :grr:.

Had fun tonight. Met Frazod, his wife, and a friend of his down in Branson this evening. Went to a bar to watch the end of the game. He even bought me a couple of beers!

Went for my walk this morning. It was really humid, as there are chances for random storms this weekend. Now, I'm just sitting back, thinking about doing my laundry, and watching Fat Cat sunbathe on my balcony.
