Thigpen Supporter
... no more.
His play tonight was damn near unforgivable. <--- is off the bandwagon. |
Wow... I was about to call you brave.....
Hey, I support the kid. I don't want him to be our starting QB, but I don't wish anything bad upon him. I respect his 'want to'. He has overcome a lot of very long odds to have ever started a NFL game. I still think he has outproduced what he should have been... He reminds me of Eric Warfield. Warfield was a seventh round pick that was a multi year starter. For a seventh round pick, he was a success. But, the fact that he was the BEST corner on the team for a few years was the failure of the organization, not him. Thigpen is similar. I have no issue with him being the third QB on this roster.... to start in a pinch. The problem would have been if the Chiefs expected him to be the best QB on the team. |

Some of you owe me an apology.

You owe us an apology for constantly posting that tripe you call journalism from WPI on here. How's DVD coming along BTW? |
More posters should be showing up in this thread, requesting their obligatory crow.
|
I wasn't aware they descended.

It's a long shot, but some guys don't hit their stride at QB till their late 20's/early 30's. He 'could' be a Rich Gannon type of guy some day. But, he has a lot of learning to do.... |
Todd Haley was pissed in the post game presser (going on now). He talked about Thigpen being 1-10 on 3rd down, and pretty much blamed the awful play on him ...

I listened to the game feed on the sirius radio...
Did he look as shitty as Holtus and Dawson described him? |

Then he shat all over himself unable to get a half a yard for an important first down. His ****ing legs stop moving the second he gets hit at the line. Maybe Charles should be the 3rd down back. |

I thought Haley was going to Fatality him Mortal Kombat style on the sideline. |

Right or wrong? |

There will be people who will be missing Carl by season's end, even if they won't paint the bull's eye on themselves by posting it here. Haley's high expectations may scratch the anti-Herm itch for fans now, but his tirades and singling out players in the media will get old. |

If he can learn to hold on to the ball, I see no reason why LJ does not become completely expendable. |

That got old... This is so refreshing to see something other than Carl and any of his cronies. |
Quote:
That is unless they made the Super Bowl and had 3 receivers with over 1k receiving with an 86 year old QB at the helm. Then I would be mighty impressed. |

Although that might not be a bad name for the 2009 Chiefs. |

Why don't you just go over to the Lions and have a Goonther lovefest? BTW, welcome back. (You can now go away again) |

At least we see progress and player development now... |
Thigpen fans got caught with schism on their faces tonight.

Please name the progression and development. I saw an absolutely horrible team tonight, how bout you? |
Well, I expected as much. Still not much in the way of decorum here, so I will leave you to each other.
It will not change the facts that signing a backup QB to a $60 mil deal who threw 21 TDs with the same exact team that Brady hit 50 with was a big waste of $. I have been skeptical of every Chiefs hire after Cunningham. Haley can still win me over. But he's off to a shaky start IMHO. Enjoy the 2009 season. KCJ  |

I am also very happy to see Carl and his cronies gone, but so far the new cronies aren't very good either.. IMHO! They are new so only time will tell. |

So from what "I" heard, J Charles played pretty well, Hali was disruptive from time to time... T Jackson got a sack, better pass rush forced a TO... Some nice holes for running, but shitty pass protection and horrid QB play from Thigpen... So as I was saying, on the radio, "I heard" some positives, along with some negatives... Am I close? |

I think we will see the OL addressed after cuts this year and in next year's draft and FA. Hopefully we don't get Cassel killed before then. |

OMG did I just see Johnny actually express a negative thought about the Chiefs?

I understand you need a QB, but working with what that half wit left us, is a recipe for a nuclear holocaust................... |

If Parcells trust him enough to bang his daughter, and Parcells is undeniably a genius, then I trust him enough to give him 2 years of leeway with my team. |

Herm used to throw everyone under the bus; he wouldn't stop at just one player. |

But your right, it will take time, we are like a expansion franchise, with very little to no talent... |
I'm not saying Pioli doesn't know what he's doing or anything like that.
I do however think it is a bit arrogant/shortsighted to go get your "franchise QB' and put him behind a swiss cheese line. |
$5000 in casino cash to the person who can identify the post KCJohnny reported as a personal attack in this thread.
Only one guess per user. |
