Hey, I support the kid. I don't want him to be our starting QB, but I don't wish anything bad upon him. I respect his 'want to'. He has overcome a lot of very long odds to have ever started a NFL game.

I still think he has outproduced what he should have been...

He reminds me of Eric Warfield. Warfield was a seventh round pick that was a multi year starter. For a seventh round pick, he was a success. But, the fact that he was the BEST corner on the team for a few years was the failure of the organization, not him.

Thigpen is similar. I have no issue with him being the third QB on this roster.... to start in a pinch. The problem would have been if the Chiefs expected him to be the best QB on the team.

He is welcome to stay on the roster as the 3rd stringer. I have no problems with him there. But to think that at one time I thought the guy could compete for a starting job... I must have gotten hold of some bad liquor.

Todd Haley was pissed in the post game presser (going on now). He talked about Thigpen being 1-10 on 3rd down, and pretty much blamed the awful play on him ...

Says the guy pimping DVD and mike brown. You do realize they are the WR and DB version of thigpen.

You wouldn't hear DV or Herm diming out a single player like that.

Well, I was underwhelmed by the 9-7 Cards last year and spending $60 mil on a career back up QB who threw for 21 TDs with the exact team that Brady got 50 with doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either.

There will be people who will be missing Carl by season's end, even if they won't paint the bull's eye on themselves by posting it here.

Haley's high expectations may scratch the anti-Herm itch for fans now, but his tirades and singling out players in the media will get old.

I guess we just can't be that lucky. At least hootie has gone on to a 49'ers board somewhere. Both of those guys together is enough to make any one want to puke.

People say the same thing about Parcells, and all he does is build good teams.

Charles looked damn good today... the only hiccup was that he dropped the ball on a KR but he picked it right back up.

If he can learn to hold on to the ball, I see no reason why LJ does not become completely expendable.

Well, I expected as much. Still not much in the way of decorum here, so I will leave you to each other.

It will not change the facts that signing a backup QB to a $60 mil deal who threw 21 TDs with the same exact team that Brady hit 50 with was a big waste of $. I have been skeptical of every Chiefs hire after Cunningham. Haley can still win me over. But he's off to a shaky start IMHO.

Pretty much. Thigpen was the weak link in this game. But apparently Pioli and Haley are to blame as well according to some others.

I think the team addressed what they could and got the players they had confidence could contribute.

I think we will see the OL addressed after cuts this year and in next year's draft and FA. Hopefully we don't get Cassel killed before then.
