You are telling me.

I thought I was just really hungover at first. Then I was like, Wait... I only had 12 beers last night... Something is very wrong.

So, I am apartment sitting for my brother. I get in the shower to try and take stock of things and get ready for the day. Its 10:30 AM. I am feeling woozy, so I decide to sit down in the tub. I take the shower head, which is removable, and hold it right above my head to help get rid of my headache, because it hurts so bad.

Then, my mouth gets really wet, and I go to hawk a loogie, and I am ****ed. I projectile vomit all over the front of the shower. In my horror, I look down to prevent hitting the wall again. While this is going on, I am holding the shower head and it is coincidentally aimed at my face. I vomit right on to it, and then the puke starts flying back in my face. I don't throw up very often, so I am taking in the sensation of nausea like its my first time.

I turn the water off to take stock of things, and just laugh. For like five seconds. And then I throw up again.

It was a horrible start to the day, and I spent the rest of it sprinting to the toilet and retching. I think I pinched a nerve in my neck, so that also feels nice.

I text my buddy, who was at the get together: Are you sick?

He texts back: All ****ing day.

So there it was. The only thing we ate that no one else did was a couple chips worth of the 7 layer dip. Seriously, about 5 chips. At 3AM.

So that was my awesome day. Finally starting to feel better.

I just had the shits. I hope it is finally over. The only thing different i ate was a watermelon. I purchased the watermelon from an area that has great melons every year only this time it was different.

I determined this is how the melon got bad. The watermelons are grown in sandy soil close to the river. The river this year had several flood warnings in that area. I think the river water got into the melons and contaminated them.

We were going to see the Nina and the Pinta tomorrow (replicas of course). They are in the Mississippi river parked north of St.Louis. I love historical stuff. But being up half the night im not so sure about this trip going down.

Just ask for the "poop"-deck. KA-POW; RIGHT OUTTA' THE PARK I TELL'S YA'!

LMAO

Fairplay 09-06-2009 03:38 AM

I read books on ships like around the 1700,1800's era and if you had to poop you would climb up the mast the goes over the water. There would be a make shift place with a hole to sit down and do your business.

I could go on and on about how it was to live on those ships that would be out at sea for several months at a time. But in a nutshell it was cramped and disgusting.

ROFL Much like everything else romanticized in history, sea-faring sounds like a much more enjoyable experience with modern technology. Though in the case of the sea, not necessarily safer.

I'll admit; if I had the means, I'd buy a massive vessel and spend the bucks paying someone to teach me how to do it right for about a decade or more if needed. I can't imagine a more enjoyable life.

I have always been a land lover. So even back then i would pass on a life at sea. Though many of the crew they forcibly acquired and some joined the ships to try to escape the law. Already you have a questionably morale issue going on with the crew. Plus, you are at sea for months at a time. You don't think their would be some grab assing going on in an all male ship? Or even rape gangs? I tell you these were shocking and horrible conditions in more ways then one. Though Gochiefs would probably like it. :D

LMAO

I was thinking more along the lines of following the trade winds and the warm seas throughout the year on a small yacht, pulling in to harbor in Spain and such, and sampling the local wares.
Ass-raping pirates are not part of the picture! LMAO

Perhaps I should employ a security force of ex-Navy Seals...:hmmm:

Fairplay 09-06-2009 04:03 AM

Even when Columbus's 3 ships he recieved though with much argument.

How would you like to be on one of the ships, you didn't know where you were going or if you would even see land. And remember back then they thought the world was flat. Yes the land is mysteriously flat but you could still fall off the ends of the earth. If you had a death wish this would be the perfect place to go. I welcome the grim reaper! Lets party you muther f**ker. Tell saten hes a pussy and where the hell is Nero at?

You'd think their would be no water at all with a flat surface. Try dumping a gallon of water of your kitchen table and see where it all goes for instance. .....:spock: Tell your loved ones it is for the sake of science. Then put you're arm on your chin like you are smart or something.

(Have mop and bucket ready at a moments notice.)

Science was SLOW to spread in those days, especially in Catholic Spain? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
I tremble with the thought of proven knowledge I am not yet privy to.

Isn't that wild that in this day and age they still have pirates. Perhaps the 2ND longest profession. :D Those Navy seals aren't cheap, good luck going through various customs agencies.

Well, as I said, the initial venture would require enough capital to employ a well to-do company. So, the cost of quality security should not be overlooked!

TO THE SHIP!:D

A few years back i had a close friend die, though momentarily. He said as he was rising above us all and into the heavens the science and mathematics, of how it all worked made sense like it was crystal clear how everything happened.
It was perfect. he said it was like being shown the most basic math formulas and it just made complete sense.

He lived through it, he doesn't know what he went through but he believes humans are just not ready to except the truth of the universe.

This makes the most perfect sense to me. Truly it does. I believe it's what we strive, work, and move towards. It's our evolution. And it's millions of years in the making. It will literally take that long to move towards it and to accomplish it.
