Croyle haters, eat up
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_go0QYOkH4x...ating_crow.jpg
All of you were wrong. Mother****er can flat out BALL. |
Is that crow or Raven? Croyle balled up. Too bad he didn't have time to throw.
|
He has trade value now. Don't know how much. But is trade worthy.
|
Pretty impressive day, all things considered. I'd take a larger helping if he had even started to put a game winning drive together. The fumble was bad but the fact that it was right of the bat was pretty embarrassing.
|
Croyle played well today. I take my hat off to him.
|
FUMBLE...TD RAVENS.
He played pretty well, but certainly not lights out. He ran the offense like it was a WCO, dinking and dunking, with very few plays for yardage. |
he played a great game
|
He did better than I thought so ok.....Good job professional Qb who has been getting paid to sit on the bench.....This buds to you.
|
Er, no. He had one nice drive and connected on a nice pass play with Bradley. Other than that, I wasn't impressed to the point that I'm going to eat crow (or raven...or whatever that is...)
|
116 QB rating today.
|
Oh, and I'm still pretty excited to see what the offense looks like with Cassel.
|
Croyle isn't as brittle as people think. I know its a great joke on the Planet though. I just think he fits better in Haley's offense. What the **** did Herm know?
|

Most people say he can't stay healthy. And 1 game without injury isn't exactly proving anybody wrong there. |
Only criticism you can have is the slow start and a couple of mis-communications with the center.

Good game for him and didn't get carted of the field.

He's still brittle as hell. I like him as a QB, but c'mon now. |
I'd be more favorable of Croyle's performance if he'd just post a few naked pictures of his wife.
|
He played alright, but he choked on the final drive.
|
This would be Epic Win for Croyle were it not for his ABSOLUTELY boneheaded performance at the end.
Still, he did better than I ever thought he would. |
He played pretty well, except when the game was on the line.
It helps that Herm isn't the coach anymore, that will make everyone better |
I'd like to see him play behind a decent O line.

Larry Johnson = Fail

Our line was getting their shit pushed in all day. Even Albert. Hopefully he hasn't peaked yet.
|
It wasn't that impressive.

It was ****ing amazing. |
Croyle looked like Damon Huard, circa 2006 season.
|
Quote:
Huard, Vintage 2006, is the gold standard around here since Trent Green. |

Croyle has had 3 starts. And he's suffered from 3 serious injuries that have forced him to miss time. That's one injury for every 3 starts. Of course everyone is exaggerating when they say Croyle will get injured after only 5 plays. But getting injured once every 3 games is about as bad as it gets for an NFL QB. (And that's only counting his NFL career. Does not include his injury-riddled college career). |
So Goatcheese - are you going to start a thread about how bad LJ sucks? 1.8 ypc. He has a long way to go for you to win your bet with buckin bolt boy.

Just shut up. |

Charles wasn't going anywhere, either. |

That run around the outside-right was so chock-full of effort, speed, and determination, I just might have to order a #27 tomorrow! |
thigpen wouldve won the game....

Since when have we succesfully drafted for one? We thought we had one with Todd Blackledge. I loved how he turned out. Oh yeah, we passed on Dan Marino in that draft. I guess our talent scouts thought he was good because he handed the ball to Curt Warner at Penn State. |
Croyle was a-****in-okay today. He didn't die; and he didn't do too much stupid shit...and he even threw a couple TD's.
Very stoked for the Fade next week with Cassel at the helm. |
with this Oline, i wouldn't trade him. We need as many competent QBs on this roster as we can get.
|

For better or worse, we just handed out a $60M+ contract for our franchise QB. Too early to tell IMHO. 15 more games to go... |

The way Haley was coaching Brodie up and letting him make decisions on the field. Make me wonder how far off Castle is.

wow...
I simply wasn't impressed. He had ONE drive all game. Whatever I guess, I don't care to debate this... Just can't believe we're "taking our hats off" for his performance today. |
Quote:
Thigpen would have thrown 3 or 4 picks. |
Hasn't played in how long?
Had how many 10ths of a second to make a play? Didn't leave the game injured against the Ravens D? |
Quote:
watching the game I was far from impressed |
Quote:
I thought Croyle did a fine job in a bad situation. I don't know that Cassel could have done much better. |
Quote:
and Ed Reed would have took one or two of them back for touchdown's. |
Quote:
He had no help. Bradley had a chance to get two first downs and extend drives and pussied out. The line couldn't open holes, couldn't pass block for very long. Was Croyle perfect? No. But he was by far one of the best players on the field for the Chiefs. I don't think Cassel could have done much more out there even if he was 100 percent. |
The Thigpen experiment was interesting. Don't know if that was a gadget or proding Brodie to play better.
|
what did he do that was impressive? I must know...
We had 60 yards of offense (approx.) through 3 quarters... He had 1 good drive where Baltimore was playing more "lax" than the rest of the game because they took a lead... I'm sorry... Wasn't impressed...at least wasn't impressed enough to think he warranted a thread like this. |

yeo
If you were expecting Peyton Manning out of Croyle, you were dissappointed.
I was expecting Brodie Croyle though- so I was fairly pleased with the performance. |
Quote:
Led a field goal drive that tied the game up. Made a nice throw to Bowe for a TD. Didn't make stupid mistakes. If the running game and defense had not been ABSOLUTE SHIT, Croyle was good enough to beat the BALTIMORE RAVENS ON THE ROAD. |

eh, whatever...
I didn't expect a win...was pleasantly surprised we had a lead in the 2nd half... wasn't impressed with the QB play...wasn't disappointed, either... That's my two cents. |
Thigpen still has more career wins.
|
Croyle did pretty well considering that Larry Johnson is still inept (11 carries for 20 yards just freaking awful), and we don't have much at receiver, last year's #1 threat is gone, and the offensive line was adequate at best and terrible most of the time.
It has never been a question about Croyle's ability to make throws, it was just his decision making and his durability. He made pretty good decisions today and managed the game well. |

whatever anyone wants to say...that 11 for 20 wasn't ALL Larry...and I'd go as far as to say...it really wasn't even his fault.
|
Quote:
That was evident on the second play of the game where Larry takes the pitch, looks upfield and is immediately tackled five yards deep in the backfield by Ray Lewis. |
Quote:
Given that the game was played at their place on opening day, it's a testament to this team's new found toughness, that we didn't get blown out. When you want to rebuild a shitty tean, you start with special teams and defense... both showed up today. It's gonna take some time... but this is a good start. |
Quote:
He used to be hard to tackle, and run angry. Now he just looks like a paycheck player. He doesn't hit holes with purpose and he doesn't shake tacklers, he just goes down. But the salary is guaranteed this year. |
he used to run behind Roaf, Shield and Tait...
