Definitely the scariest out of the last twelve, but you guys have kept it close in at least 4 of those.

By the way, that was the best display of pass coverage I think I have seen on the Chargers since Rivers became their Starting QB.

BryanBusby 09-15-2009 01:41 AM

Jamarcus Russel is the worst starting QB in the NFL. The Chargers were unable to get pressure in his face and he was constantly throwing passes to the ****ing moon. If Norv Turner understood the NFL season actually does start Week 1 and after the bye, Oakland would of have been mauled at home instead of actually having a chance.

Sweet Daddy Hate 09-15-2009 01:48 AM

If Assmooga is the benchmark for CB in the NFL, I'm grateful for Flowers. Assmooga keeps plays from happening; Flowers makes plays happen. I'd rather have a tight coverage CB who let's one get away now and again, yet can change a game by picking off and taking to the house, than someone who does nothing but break up completions.

Good Nite all

Unless a legit NFL caliber starting QB can be unearthed from one of JaMarcus Russell's fat rolls, I highly doubt that.

teedubya 09-15-2009 02:23 AM

JaMarcus Russell is why there needs to be a Rookie Salary cap.

chasedude 09-15-2009 03:12 AM

The Raiders will never be anything until Al Davis is 6ft under.

SenselessChiefsFan 09-15-2009 04:16 AM

The Raiders played a good game. I won't take shots at them.

They played a better game than the Chiefs... but I think San Diego at home is a lesser game than the Ravens on the road.

I think the division could be more wide open than we think. The funny thing is that the Broncos looked worse than the Chiefs or Raiders.... yet, they won.

I can't imagine their luck will hold very long.

Good game, look forward to this weekend.

SD still has major weapons at the WR and TE position and was too much in the end but this team has improved dramatically over last year and if we can slow down LT and sproles, we should be able to ball with anyone.

Good game

TheGuardian 09-15-2009 06:44 AM

Russell is inaccurate. And as Steve Young noted, being accurate is really a trait you either have or don't have. You generally don't see QB's who are as inaccurate as Russell all of a sudden become accurate passers. And the fact is, good/great accuracy is the single biggest trait needed for an NFL QB.

Shut down the Raiders ground game and they are done because Russell is never going to win games with his arm.

the raiders starting QB is worse than our backup

and that's not a joke

he has an OL and a great running game and put up a 47 QB rating last night with 40% accuracy...he's a fat pathetic piece of shit

For our defense, that's a HUGE contingency.

The Raiders have 3 RB's, all of which can (and HAVE) hurt us in different ways.

Yes, if we shut down their running game, they're probably not going to be able to win. But I'm not at all convinced we can actually do it.

It's not really the backs they have, they run that zone blocking system really well. IT's why a bum like Fargas could even have a couple of decent seasons there.

POint is, just sell out against the run. Russel is God awful. So make him beat you. I think their defense is still suspect against the run, even with Seymour in there. Their linebackers are atrocious, terrible at the point, and outside of Nnamdi their secondary is full of scrubs. Run the ball, go play action a lot, stack the box against them.

We should win this game.

The Chargers had the worst played game I've ever seen from them since Norv became their head coach and the Turds still lost to them.

We're not anything special, but I feel pretty confident about our chances in this one.

Not to mention the fact that the Chargers won when they started to put 8 in the box. Make Russell beat you is the only game plan needed. He might burn you once or twice. But we will have a lot of 3 and outs.
