The Chiefs dropped the ball on his waiver claim.

Yea they did. The Chiefs have money. They don't have very many good players.

Bummer - I was hoping that we would take a look especially since it was reported that we inquired about a trade with Philly. Oh well...

dirk digler 09-17-2009 06:55 AM

I never thought he was that good to begin with

**** You!

LaChapelle 09-17-2009 06:58 AM

It's time for the Colts to slip back into oblivion.

Micjones 09-17-2009 07:03 AM

I think when Chiefs brass brought Long in they felt they were done upgrading the WR spot.
I'll bet he (Long) is activated soon.

LaChapelle 09-17-2009 07:05 AM

350 yard average over 3 years. meh

Kylo Ren 09-17-2009 07:07 AM

We never really wanted him anyway. He's really not that good. I heard he was injured. He's not worth the price tag. It's obvious that the guy has lost a step. The Colts can have him!

We need a sour grapes smilie.

How about a smaller version of this:

Aren't you just a ray of sunshine.

Do us all a favor and go back to your lurking status/rock you came from.

I see my Big Blue in the background -- The photo had to be taken in 2006, when Baskett was a rookie --

Hmmm... wonder if he completed the catch --

If Baskett was all that, he would've been scooped up by an NFC East team -- But he wasn't.

A colleague is standing over my shoulder at the moment -- He lives in Philly and die-hard Eagles fan... He's trying to feed me what to say, but I can't do it ... LMAO

Let's the Colts have him.

Thanks for the insightful post. Even if you said that to his face it wouldn't be all that impressive. In this forum it's just, well, kind of sad.

Mr. Laz 09-17-2009 09:06 AM

Baskett will have better numbers than wade and people in KC will be pissed. The reality is that it's not Baskett, it's the situation in Indy.

Whichever WR signed in Indy would of gotten the better numbers.

wild1 09-17-2009 09:11 AM

wade > baskett

Very true.

Just like his wife. :p

Baskett will probably be a 4th WR in Indy and play special teams, even with Anthony Gonzalez out. He is simply not that good.

Sure-Oz 09-17-2009 09:21 AM

bummer but he isn't worth that money imo...guess this is all we got

Probably true.

KCrockaholic 09-17-2009 09:44 AM

That kind of sucks. Oh well. Colts can go to hell.
