I have no idea why people are getting upset. The Chiefs are one of the worst teams in the league and had a pretty "whatever" offseason. It has been obvious for ages that this season was going to be rough. Todd Haley has changed both the offensive and defensive schemes and imported a bunch of players. What else should he be doing? I mean, honestly, what do people expect Haley to do?

Haley basically put him in his place, and when Waters told him that he was a captain and pro bowler, that's when he let loose with the 22 guys off the street blast, letting Waters know he didn't care what Waters had done in the past. And, that whole confrontaion went down right at the time they were working out the trade for Cassel and Vrabel.

Even today, after the way we have looked through three games, I still love that Haley said that.

They're not necessarily the same people. There were some who were predicting 7, 8, 9 wins for this team.

Especially when the coaches and GM have been surrounded by talent elsewhere. It will be interesting to see how Haley responds to losing. It is often said that a team takes on the personality of its head coach. I'm not sure that instilling Haley's personality into our players will get us anything back but a bunch of jerks. Mike Singletary is probably more of the style that we need. Yes, he is a hard case motivator but he made his bones playing the sport and had instant credibility with his players. He's done a great job of instilling his style into his players and winning ball games.

Give Haley the talent and he might prove to be a good HC, but I think he'll implode long before that day comes.

I could be wrong but I think Haley's personality is pretty low on the list of problems for the Chiefs. Assholes can win just like nice guys. All coaches look better surrounded by talent. The question is can he run the team efficiently. He hasn't impressed as of yet, but it's just too early to tell and it will be for some time. This time next year, maybe.

I have a buddy that unfortunately just doesn't get it either,has a major meltdown every game and there I sit just not getting emotionally invested anymore as this team is all but starting over..I tried to tell him KC will maybe win 4-5 games but if they can do that and show some improvement it'll be a successful season.
