50-Year Chiefs Team: Quarterbacks

Okay, here's what we'll do.

As I have time, I'll post polls, and we'll build a 53-man roster for our 50-year Chiefs team.

For example, we'll start with quarterback, and the top three vote-getters will be on the team. I'll then record the 4th and 5th guys, and they'll go into a vote to round out the roster once all the positions are filled.

Ready?

Poll forthcoming for the QBs. It'll take me a few minutes to get it put together. I'll include every QB in Chiefs history who has a "decision" in a game he started. (And no, I don't know the deal with Doug Hudson - must've gotten knocked out early.)

No shit.

I saw this thread title and thought, WHY?

Mecca 09-27-2009 08:36 PM

Is this thread just going to remind us about the slew of awful QB's we've had?

RustShack 09-27-2009 08:37 PM

Matt Cassel, Len Dawson, Trent Green.

ChiefsCountry 09-27-2009 08:45 PM

Len Dawson

What's ****ing pathetic is that he would definitely be in the top 3.

Embarrassing.

RustShack 09-27-2009 08:47 PM

Eric Crouch, Jason White

DeezNutz 09-27-2009 08:50 PM

Dawson
Montana
DeBerg

Those are the 3 that have all of the playoff wins.

BryanBusby 09-27-2009 08:53 PM

Ohhh no, he's going to throw!

Yep. And it pains me to have to put a 1 1/2-year (IIRC) band-aid on that list.

Sanchez in 3 games now has more wins than the Chiefs do in their last 28.

This thread is a bad idea. It opens old wounds.

He would have been ruined playing in KC. /typical response that enables us to justify never drafting a ****ing QB/

milkman 09-27-2009 08:58 PM

Didn't we do this already?

Matt Stafford and the Lions have more wins than Cassel and the Chiefs. Remember all the crap said about Stafford.

well... when you put it like that... well shit. We need a win BAD!

Rain Man 09-27-2009 09:00 PM

Beh. The database doesn't have 2009 in it yet, so Cassel's not in the poll. You can vote for Cassel as a write-in if you want.

Not for an entire 53-man roster. That's the new twist.

I'd love to see Sanchez working behind our line. How many wins would he have then?

Rain Man 09-27-2009 09:09 PM

Y'know what freaks me out a little? Blackledge actually had a winning record in the mid-80s. That's impressive. Have we misjudged him?

Deberg had pretty good stats, and if you were judging by stats alone, Huard might be up there. Alongside Mark Vlasic, of course.

Where is Steve "Oh no" Bono?

BryanBusby 09-27-2009 09:24 PM

I voted Oh No Bono due to the boss ass run he had against Arizona.

ChiefsCountry 09-27-2009 09:25 PM

If you could put DeBerg's heart, mind, and toughness in Grbac's body you would have had one hell of a QB.

Sweet Daddy Hate 09-27-2009 09:44 PM

Lenny
Joe
Rich: **** Grbac, Rich took that team to the show before being "Marty'd".

At least one; he operates like a mother****er on the run.

yeah
IU so didn't want to vote for him
but it was thew last "second, third?" time the chiefs made the afc championship
game

Ultra Peanut 09-27-2009 11:25 PM

Even if it was ironic, I ****ing hate the two people who voted for Grbac. FOREVER.

CoMoChief 09-27-2009 11:37 PM

ROFL Thigpen, Blackledge.

listopencil 09-28-2009 12:03 AM

I went Montana, Gannon and Moon.

kcfanXIII 09-28-2009 03:18 AM

the only qb that has a stat that matters to me is super bowl victories, and i suppose the n00bs even know who that was. no one else matters. you might as well vote for matt blundin, steve elkins or todd blackledge.

Obviously Dawson is No. 1. The question posed, however, was top three. If you had to pick, you really couldn't distinguish between the rest?
