WELCOME BACK, BRANDON!!!

51 for 15

RINGLEADER 10-04-2009 05:12 PM

That was an amazing ROC.

But one question on Troy Aikman's commentary...

Is it possible to have an underthrown ball that is high?

Seems oxymoronic...

mlyonsd 10-04-2009 05:12 PM

Bleh. You guys suck.

Less than us of course but you still suck.

DaFace 10-04-2009 05:13 PM

It'll be interesting to see how this ends up. I think Denver's best chance of winning would have been to have Marshall go down at the 20 instead.

mlyonsd 10-04-2009 05:13 PM

At least the Chiefs don't have Romo's contract.

Epic suck.

orange 10-04-2009 05:15 PM

:spock: Nothing comes easy in the AFC West these days. :doh!:

dshyne101 10-04-2009 05:15 PM

would have loved for us to get him and still have bowe.

Heh...for the record, this came BEFORE the big play.

You're right.

Reminds me of a game like ten years ago between the Broncos and (I think) the Chargers where the other team intercepted and ran it back rather than just running it back and taking a knee in bounds and running out the clock. The Broncos come back and score then get an onside kick and almost won the game.

Ah, the memories of when I actually had to care about a Broncos game and its implications for the post-season...

RINGLEADER 10-04-2009 05:19 PM

Great game...

It's legal to grab the receiver before the ball gets there now?

The Bad Guy 10-04-2009 05:20 PM

Hats off to the Broncos.

Argue what you want, but 4-0 for any team is incredible.

kcxiv 10-04-2009 05:21 PM

hehe, we thought Denver was going to be the suck, but they are 4-0 lol Not bad.

The Denver D has very little talent, and look what Nolan did with them.

**** you Clancy.

This defense should be far better than it is. It's that ****ing needless 3-4 bullshit. How can you switch to the 3-4 when you have ****ing no linebackers?

listopencil 10-04-2009 05:27 PM

I love Mike Nolan. I'm going to rename my son "Mike" now.

That's going a bit far. They have two hall of famers in the backfield.

The question going in was the front seven, and everything they did there has exceeded anyone's wildest expectations. Most importantly, Dumervil looks like a pro bowler at OLB, and Andra Davis had been a beast.

Turns out McDaniels may know more about the NFL than this message board.

Thats just a cheap way out.In theory they can find "quality" LB's cheaper than D lineman.......:spock:

Yeah thats working out great so far....
I will say though,I expected us to lose by at least 30 points.

At the same time, how can the Chiefs do a 4-3 if they only recoreded 10 sacks in '08?

listopencil 10-04-2009 05:35 PM

Seriously, though.

We lose a big game, the Mane goes down.

We win a big game, the Mane goes down.

Coach gets fired/QB gets traded, the Mane goes down.

Wind blows, the Mane goes down.

It's too bad that a football team's performance isn't directly related to the reliability of its message board.

Who are past their prime.

Dawkins is a huge liability in coverage and Nolan is doing a great job masking him.

Get the ball into your play-makers hands when the game is on the line.

John Lynch was a huge liability in coverage. Brian Dawkins is not. He plays like his only 29 years old. He had a couple huge plays in pass coverage on third down. He was also covering Jason Witten a lot today and Witten was a non factor all day.

You've watched Brian Dawkins for 4 games. I've watched him every week for 10 years.

The guy's coverage ability is gone.

But I thought he turned it into a 2-14 team by trading Cutler and starting Orton?

stevieray 10-04-2009 09:01 PM

this secenario has been played out for years..bowlen on the competition committee....they get a semi light first eight games, and end up 6- 2 and then split the remaining games at HOMEl(atter part of the season in the thin air) and usually coast to the playoffs.

still, they are 4-0. cant dispute it.

It looked like Romo thought Champ was past his prime. How did that work out for him?

Red Dawg 10-05-2009 09:39 AM

The Cowgirls have been struggling on offense all year. Romo has been playing very badly. If you can shut down NE then I'll believe that your D is good. You have not faced a good offense yet.

He is.

Champ Bailey basically gave the slant to Romo and Romo couldn't put the ball where it needed to go.

I also guess covering Sam Hurd and Patrick Crayton will be a lot easier than covering Moss, Welker and Galloway.

Enh, Champ has always played like this... no, he's not the 25 year old that he once was, but he's still damn good. Denver is up for one hell of a test in week 5, there's no doubt about it.

They're good enough to win, but that doesn't mean they will - NE has a lot of firepower and a QB that rocks when it matters. NE will have much better play calling than Dallas, there's no question about it... that's the most work that Bailey has seen in one game in forever.

If you read the pressers, the Defense on that play was set up to get Romo to throw that ball. Champ was selling it and Romo fell for it. That's what Champ does. He's so good that he has to play with he QB to get balls thrown his way. Nice try though. Thank you for playing.

listopencil 10-05-2009 03:30 PM

"Bailey, who picked off a pass from Romo at his 6 in the third quarter, wasn’t surprised Romo would test him one final time because the blitz was designed to coerce a quick pass to his man."

Yeah, bet the Ravens fans really gave a $3it...

listopencil 10-05-2009 03:32 PM

By the way, that was a well thrown ball. Champ made the play on it by knocking it down with his left hand.
