Will we see blackouts this year?
Personally I think the blackout rule is stupid with the popularity of the NFL. That being said, will next week vs. the Cowboys be the last home game we see on TV for a while?
|
As it moves into winter I think we will. With that said, Clark punched this ticket the minute DV left town and he let Carl and Herm take over.
|
It's looking like the Chiefs/Browns game might be blacked out.
|
With as many empty seats as there's been the past 2 games, I'm wondering how they skirted the blackout rule to begin with.
|
Sadly I paid for Sunday Ticket
I wish the games would black out for me |

Will we see blackouts this year?
I'm thinking I could see one Saturday night.

Probably the biggest risks are Buffalo and Cleveland. The rest of the teams on the schedule are either popular franchises nationally or division opponents. |

The place holds 79K. You do the math. EDIT: Saw your edit regarding comp tickets. They must be comping a shitton of seats weekly to stay on TV, because the numbers don't add up otherwise. |
Actually its at 75k right now. They are getting the big companies in KC to buy blocks of tickets. Some nerdy dude sat in front of me from Burns & McDonnell trying to figure out how much they spent on tickets from the ones listed in the program. I got a good inside chuckle at that since its not at face value when they do that.

I talked to 2 different reps the week of the Oakland game, and they both told me approximately 38K. Can't see why they'd lie. |
The Chiefs have given away many tickets for the first two games. The NFL only allows for a total amount of comps tickets over the season and the Chiefs are very close to that number after two games. Paid tickets for both games have been less than 65,000 per game and turnstile around 60,000 per game. Turnstile is people in stands, so with all the comps and paid tickets over 5,000 per game are not showing up.
Without TV stations or sponsors...blackouts here we come. |

Not everyone here lives in KC. |
Well the Dallas and Pittsburgh game I doubt they have to worry about it. And if the Donks keep winning, all the Western KS and Oklahoma Donk fans will migrate east.

Last home game of the year is the Browns...if there was ever a game to get blacked out.
|
Bills the week before is a good shot as well.
|
Can anyone confirm if Clark was actually at the game today? I know he was at the home opener, parading his country club stiffs of a family on the field at halftime.

I would bet that we would see black outs.
I got caught up in the hype early and bought 2 pair of tickets for two different games. After 8 minutes of watching this team against Philly and about 11 minutes watching against the Giants...I posted the tickets for sale. I was stunned to find out both sets sold. people in KC have got to get a life until this team amounts to something. |
Midway through the 3rd quarter yesterday, the Chiefs were blacked out in my home by Finding Nemo.

Anybody know what the cancellation policy for Sunday Ticket is? |

You can't see a blackout.
Ergo, the paradox. There will be a quiz later. |
If the chiefs lose a game and there's nobody there to see, does the loss really occur?
