Jenks HS caught cheating

Tulsa area high school football powerhouse Jenks is under investigation for illegal recruitment of players. Head Coach Alan Trimble has suspended himself for the rest of the year and another coach for two weeks. It involves 7 players over a period of 10 years. One player is from Virginia. The OSSA is meeting Wednesday to determine the punishment. Say it ain't so!

They get to play Broken Arrow, in BA, this Friday. BA has an opportunity to move from #3 to #1 playing Jenks with no head coach.

The high school is copping an attitude over it. They kicked channel 6 off their property and they had to film from two blocks away. I hope it makes national news. They've been cheating for years.

I live a few blocks away from the stadium in Broken Arrow. I may have to walk across 61st St and see a Jenks beatdown Friday night.

Wow but then if they were cheating how come union beat them all the time?

Union won last year, Jenks won this year.

Trimble won 9 state titles in his 13 years as head coach.

They have a hell of a facility. The weight room looks like an NFL caliber room.

A head coach suspending himself huh??

:hmmm:

When I lived down there we wondered how Kejuan Jones was able to set up residence in Jenks so quickly. There were some other things going on that made a person wonder......

Best city for high school football in the country hands down, though.

I played in Marching band through high school and we went to the Regiment Review Band Competition at Tulsa Union. Their freaking High School football stadiums rival some D-II NCAA schools. They take their football seriously down there.

Happens all over the place, Jenks is just being targeted unfairly, you gotta do these things to win, etc etc...

You know, if you ignore the state of Texas where plenty of fathers get great jobs because of their son's football abilities. :hmmm:

I doubt much changes. Jenks will continue to be a powerhouse.

C-USA held their post season BB tournament in Union's gymnasium.

I'm shocked. My experience with Jenks in high school was that it was like playing a JC.

Their track team was always loaded too.

I know for an absolute fact that it isn't just for football in at least some parts of Texas.

I wonder if they are going to crack down hard on this now. Tony Severino might retire pretty quick if they do.
