Nnamdi Asomugha on Trade Block

Heard on the radio according to Jay Glazer. Sorry no linky. We need to start the pieces one piece at a time and we have the cap room. Oh, and he's young but I doubt Al Davis will trade with us. What say you expert GMs?

L.A. Chieffan 10-12-2009 04:10 PM

We need to offer them LJ RTFN

Sure-Oz 10-12-2009 04:11 PM

I bet he would get a 1st rounder

Hog's Gone Fishin 10-12-2009 04:11 PM

Is Al davis senile enough to trade him within the division ?

jaa1025 10-12-2009 04:13 PM

Not worth what it would take to get him for a team with this many issues. We need to figure out Oline before ANY other position.

TrickyNicky 10-12-2009 04:14 PM

My guess is Al is waiting for the Patriots to offer a 5th rounder before they pull the trigger.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-12-2009 04:14 PM

Pittsburgh or Baltimore should offer their first for him.

Hell, I would too. To have two shutdown corners in Flowers and Asomugha? That's every defensive coordinator's wet dream.

RustShack 10-12-2009 04:16 PM

It would be amazing if we could get him, but I can't see him coming here.

Sure-Oz 10-12-2009 04:17 PM

I'm sure he doesn't fit the right 53 somehow anyway

DeezNutz 10-12-2009 04:18 PM

Would love to have him.

But I'm not parting with a top 3 pick.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-12-2009 04:18 PM

LOL @ anyone who thinks he'll end up in KC at all. I don't even want to pull a 3 way sneaky trade to get him, because it would probably push ol' Al over the edge and he'd croak. Believe me, it's not worth THAT.

Who would take over the Fade if Al died today?

LaChapelle 10-12-2009 04:22 PM

It would be worth it just to hear Shannon Sharpe try to say his name.

CaliforniaChief 10-12-2009 04:27 PM

I'd give up the #3 so I could watch the Raiders pick two busts in the top 5. And the way our pass rush is going right now, we need Flowers and Assmugger to run around for 15-20 seconds a play defending the secondary.

Our 2nd round pick is going to be basically a first round pick anyways.

Cage match...last one standing wins the keys to the kingdom. Tom Cable.

CupidStunt 10-12-2009 04:33 PM

Don't believe this rumor for a second. Davis overvalues guys he drafted and loves, particularly ones that are ACTUALLY good. Asomugha is far and beyond "good."

Then there's his contract, which is pretty bad. Can't remember how it's structured, but even if it's pro-Oakland, it won't be good for any new team.

Hes got talent. So he doesn't fit in the "Right 53"

L.A. Chieffan 10-12-2009 04:47 PM

ok, leggett and LJ plus our 5th rounder in 2014. Do it

DBOSHO 10-12-2009 05:15 PM

Would you guys trade flowers straight up for him?

I don't know, but they would have to be more competent. We need Al to live to 160.

I think OnTheWarpath first posted that a few weeks ago or something. I find that you don't need to have a structured, written argument if you have an arsenal of gifs at your disposal.

I'm pretty sure the right 53 would not include a player whose name they can't pronounce.

why not? don't you think it would be better to have the best cornerback in the NFL than another tyson jackson or glenn dorsey?

Blindside58 10-12-2009 07:11 PM

His contract is crazy. He was the highest paid player in football before the Haynesworth deal. Al Davis pissed off the other owners when he set the bar so high for cornerback salaries. the Raiders will have to eat part of the contract for this to even be close to a reality.

If they are having a fire sale I say we offer a our 2nd for Seymour :D

kcpasco 10-12-2009 08:00 PM

Mays in the 1st

Best O-lineman available in the 2nd

Quiet Storm 10-12-2009 08:19 PM

wow...trade for Seymour and than decide to blow it all up again and trade your best defensive player. What an inept franchise. Maybe they will let the Pats make them bend over again.

We won't be top three by the end of the year. The Chiefs are through the toughest part of their schedule and are getting better. They won't pick inside the top five.

I bet were in the top 5.

We have 2 winable games and they are in Dec Bills and Browns @ home.

The Raiders will have 2 wins all year both against us.

Marco Polo 10-12-2009 09:22 PM

How about we trade the 2nd that we are getting from Atlanta for TG?

My thoughts exactly.

Even IF theres anything to this, Al would probably have him whacked before he let him go to the AFCW.

Chieftain58 10-12-2009 09:48 PM

we need an O-LINE!!!!!!!

We will see. I think the Chiefs get their first win this week, and will win 3-5 more this year.

I think they split with the Raiders and have a good chance to split with the Broncos and Chargers.

I think they have a good chance to win against the Bills and Browns.

You think the Chiefs are going to win 5-7 games?

Are you on crack?

BryanBusby 10-12-2009 10:45 PM

Seymour is not that great any longer and the Chiefs need the picks they have. Let all trade him elsewhere for a terrible return.

1 + (3 to 5) = 4 to 6.

I could see 4 wins. We are close.

Yeah, dude basically makes $15M/year and the first two are completely guaranteed. Al's paying him in space dollars though, which count differently than money.
