Yes but I just can't stand teams dynasty teams no matter who they are.

JD10367 10-18-2009 03:35 PM

I turned on the game and, between the throwback red unis and the snow, I thought I was watching a historical replay. I'm only about 20 minutes south of Gillette, if that, and all we're getting in Rhode Island is heavy rain. They're just on the other side of the temperature line, apparently.

LaChapelle 10-18-2009 03:39 PM

How about a more competitive game, CBS C**ts

Dante84 10-18-2009 03:40 PM

Brady is my Fantasy QB..... too bad I ran out of cum already. Thanks a lot, Succop.

Dante84 10-18-2009 03:41 PM

Okay, I just managed to find some more....

Hell, I'm a Patriots fan and I wouldn't mind if they switched it to something else. Jesus, the Pats just scored another wide-open TD. Is there a Mercy Rule in the NFL?

LaChapelle 10-18-2009 03:43 PM

Get a ****in' clue and can Fisher already. Pacman. Young. please.

Dante84 10-18-2009 03:46 PM

Holy shit.... is Brady going to throw 5 tds in one quarter?

1ChiefsDan 10-18-2009 03:46 PM

Damn it, that's not right. It's 80 ****ing degrees here and snowing in NE. I want snow damn it. The quicker the slopes open the quicker I can get skiing.

Dante84 10-18-2009 03:56 PM

5 Touchdown's in one Quarter. Thank you sir.

Phobia 10-18-2009 03:56 PM

This is no game. It's a slaughter. Titans aren't even trying. They're just collecting a paycheck.

MMXcalibur 10-18-2009 03:56 PM

If Brady's not on the bench starting the second half, I'm hoping his other knee goes POP.

Fisher wanted neither Pac Man (Reese) nor Young (Reese and Chow)

He wanted Cutler in 2006.

The message has gotten old. I don't care if MCKidd would be 0-5, you need to move on after so long.

You'd have more credibility if you would have said this first rather than blaming him for decisions that not only weren't his fault, but something he argued vociferously against.

LaChapelle 10-18-2009 04:04 PM

It falls on his shoulders rightfully or not.

I'm not the type that wishes for injuries, but I might have a chuckle when Brady, Moss or Welker sustain a serious injury playing in a game that's been wrapped up for 2 quarters.

memyselfI 10-18-2009 04:17 PM

This game epitomizes why many people hate Brady and the Patriots.

Why? because they are that damned good? becuase a team never lets up and keeps playing? Shit, i hope and pray my football team could get that damned good.

People always hate teams that win for a long period of time.

Yankee? hate
Lakers? hate
Patriots hate?

One thing about them teams, is that they are known for winning.

I am.

I've scored 101 in a standard scoring league, which is more than enough to win 90% of the time, and I still have 2 players to play.

I'm down 45.

Okay, this came up in the 'Skins game a few seasons back. Belichick said it then, and I feel the same way: it's MORE insulting to punt it away or kick a FG in that scenario. At least if you go for it on 4th down they can stop you.

Basileus777 10-18-2009 04:41 PM

If you can't stop Brian Hoyer on 4th down you have no one to blame but yourself.

TEX 10-18-2009 04:41 PM

This and yes. It didn't even have to remind anyone of an early AFL game - the uniforms would have worked for the early '70's as well. All except for the refs in red stripes, which did take me waaaaaaay back...:thumb:

JD10367 10-18-2009 05:24 PM

Oh, well. The NFL record for victory margin was a 73-0 game from 1940. I thought the Pats had a shot at it today. (Actually, if Belichick was ruthless... well, okay, MORE ruthless... they probably could've done it.)

Jonathan Kraft (the owner's son and President of the team) on a pre-game show today was talking about the throw-backs. He mentioned that the change in logo from Pat Patriot to the new Flying Elvii thing was done the year before they took over the team, by Orthwein.

If it hadn't been done, he mentioned, the Krafts would've kept the old logo. They're clearly big fans of it, as are most Patriots fans who pre-date the Parcells era.

Some of these throw back uniforms look completely absurd. The Patriots ones are surprisingly timeless, IMHO.

*shrug* Patriots offense has been a mess. Trying to have an extended, up-tempo practice here to get everyone on the same page so we can improve.

That said, he brought in Hoyer as early as he ever brought in a backup QB absent injury.
