Glenn Dorsey had 7 tackles today. Is he finally starting to get comfortable out there?

I only had the game on radio as I couldn't find a decent stream so I didn't get to watch it but it seemed like his name was getting called a lot. Good news if he is starting to live up to his hype.

He's progressing week by week, and it looks like he's gaining confidence.

Really the only player on the team who you can say that about.

Hopefully he keeps it up.

His play has been really encouraging.

I like Succop's confidence. So far -- NAILS.

True. About time we got a Kicker that can make kicks when it actually matters.

I'd say the same about Hali also.

some of the dorsey's tackles were 7 yards downfield, he just missed getting some sacks though. now tyson jackson where is that dude

The fact that Dorsey is playing so well in this defense really speaks volumes about the talent he possesses.

Flowers and Carr seem to be improving and proving they are the real deal.

DL's most times take a year or two to be become studs on the DL. See Mario Williams and now maybe Dorsey as recent examples.

He had a nice game, I won't question that. But he did face against a back-up LT.

Considering who he was matched up against, no. Aside from the sack/safety, he was mostly invisible - and against a guy he should have abused if he were "getting better."

Albert Haynsworth is still a beast

As bad as this is to say, earlier in the year we were getting owned by back up linemen.

Hali is arguably our 2nd or 3rd best defender and he still has a ways to go.

BS. He was getting pressure even when he didn't get to the QB.

He is the only defensive player we have that is consistently showing up putting pressure on the Qb and if you cant see that you are blind as a bat.

If he had even decent talent on the other side of the defense he would have way better results.

What backups did Hali face earlier in the year?

I honestly don't recall.

I'd argue that Dorsey has been more disruptive the past two weeks than Hali has.

Glenn Dorsey is the second best player on this defense, right now.

He's getting to play more in space where he's better imo.

That's why i thought he could play RDE in a 3-4.

How many labeled Dorsey a bust last year? Probably the same % that are claiming TJ is a bust. Which he may still be, but the jury is still out.

There may be some truth to that.

It helps Dorsey when Todd rode his ass for being out-of-shape. Of course, another thing to consider is that it appears that he is fully recovered from the knee injury.

If Herm was coaching, he wouldn't really get in Dorsey's face, and embarrasing him during training camp, for being out of shape.

hard to tell how well flowers is playing since he isn't on screen most the time, but he isn't get burnt that is for sure

yup, CB's are better not seen. If they are mentioned or seen, it had better be good news. But, no news = good news for CB's. He defintely looks like the real deal. The best player out of the Herm era.

I don't think Demorrio Williams is that good. The only play I saw him make today was that almost interception. Other than that, he doesn't stand out at all.

Dorsey, OTOH, has looked pretty good.

It is also telling how Dorsey responded. It is exactly what Haley is looking for.
There are several players that are responding to what Haley wants. Hali has done it, Albert has done what was asked of him. It appears that one glaring player that is not adapting is DJ.

Dorsey not only was making stats he was also making plays. Was very impressed.

I'm ok with Suh or Mays at this point as long as our next 3 picks address the O-line. Suh is a can't miss prospect, he'll go top 5.

And he'll project to a 5-technique in a 3-4 scheme.
