Question for Farmville players on facebook
 

What do you think is better to keep, the strawberry cow, the ugly duck, or the black sheep. All 3 wondered onto my farm, but I only have enough feed to keep one.

What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis? My wife has a farm, and she doesn't have to feed them, they just sit there. In fact, hers refuse to walk around, LOL. They moved around one day, and aside from that they all stand in the same spots.

There's no "slaughter" option. In fact, it's very animal-friendly. From the cows and sheep you collect milk, from the chickens you collect eggs. You get horsehair from the horse, and down feathers from the duck, and wool from the sheep. From the pig, you get truffles (not bacon, LOL). She had an elephant given to her, and I said, "I assume you get elephant dung for fertilizer or something", but instead you get circus peanuts. That's one amazing f**king elephant, if it can make circus peanuts. I gotta find me one that'll shit gold Krugerrands...

Click "Hide..." on any of the feeds and you can hide the entire application from showing up on your page.

Agreed. I just "Hide..." every app that comes down the pike, so I never have to see it again, thus making my feed nothing but info updates.

i sold off everything i had this morning, and bought all the creepy fence and headstones i could afford, and made my farm into a graveyard... actually looks pretty neat..

Moral of the story? that game got boring and i wanted to go out in style... also, i saved 1 duck and tucked him in the graveyard...

This game reminds me of Harvest Moon which is pretty fun so I'm going to give it a try.

Like morphius said, the best features of FB are the "block this app from sending you requests" and "hide this app".

And that's sad, because the site has so much potential, yet most people just want to play games and take quizzes, and very few people actually use it to anything close to its potential.

At least they're going back to the old style news feed soon. The real-time news feed highlighted everything that's wrong with FB (pointless apps) and hides the whole reason FB exists (finding friends and networking). Post a link or an album? It might show up on the right side, depending on how much other stuff is going on. Find a picture of a cow? That's front page shit right there!

Farmville is basically the Facebook adult version of those Japanese electronic pets that little kids have... you know, they have to "feed" it daily or it dies (where in Facebook, you have to "harvest" your veggies, trees, and animal products). Once the animals and trees are ready, they'll stay that way, but the crops grow in a certain amount of time and "die" in the same (e.g. if you "plant" something at 8:00am that takes 8 hours to grow, it will be fully grown and harvestable at 4pm, and it'll die by midnight). There's really no point to it... but, then again, there's really no point to much of anything on the Internet, LOL...

And then facebook will come out with a way to fix the hack or just remove the violating application.

I dunno man 63 million players play that stuff. They are supposed to put adds too in mafia wars especiallyin the power up section. You can click on your favorite bands like Kings of Leon, Fergie, and Lady GaGa to the tone for your guild and then buy the ringtone if you want. Facebook is looking to make money of the games as a form of advertising

heh... i played Farmville for a month or so... learned how to game it pretty quick.

The reason I played was my son who just turned 8 was wanting to play... so we eventually set him up with his own account so he can play bejeweled and farmville.

It is good for him as it helped him learn about farms... and money... harvesting... etc.

I haven't planted shit in over a month now... lost its luster.
