Are we winning tomorrow?

Let's catch the rhythms of this place, post-win vs. a somewhat struggling SD team.

We winnin' tomorrow against the Chargers?

Reerun_KC 10-24-2009 09:06 AM

Homervision...

No way we can pull a Herm and give SD one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history 2 years in a row....

BigMeatballDave 10-24-2009 09:21 AM

I'm saying no. If we cant pressure Rivers, he'll shred us for 500 yrds.

What makes you think they'd need to come back?

And immediately after the game, someone will come here to tell us how Hali got close numerous times.

Yes we know milkman...

OnTheWarpath15 10-24-2009 03:10 PM

This is the closest I've felt to "yes" all year, I'm just not sure how they stop Rivers and SD's offense - and we don't have the ability to keep up in a shootout.

If San Diego has a few "Dallas-like" moments and makes several mistakes, then yeah, we can win.

DaneMcCloud 10-24-2009 03:13 PM

Not this week.

I felt they would win last week and they did.

But there's no way they can compete with San Diego's offense.

They're just far too potent.

And the Chiefs are impotent.

Hammock Parties 10-24-2009 03:20 PM

We're playing a soft football team.

We're gonna find out just how hard the Chiefs are...

BigChiefFan 10-24-2009 03:20 PM

I think we win this game. The 12th man could make the difference with Rivers.

The 12th man?

LMAO

This isn't 1991.

If they do I won't get to see it. Not on TV

ROFL

Haven't been to Arrowhead in the past 3-4 years, have you?

MichaelH 10-24-2009 03:25 PM

I hate to admit but I voted no. Just so I won't be so disappointed. I really think the defense can fluster Rivers, he's a pussy. If the offense can get going then they might win.

Our defense didn't "fluster" JaMarcus Russell when it mattered, I can't imagine they'll have much effect on Rivers.

C'mon now. They got to the quarterback last week. This isn't the same team that blew the game against Oakland. Even YOU can admit that.

I guess. San Diego's pass blocking has not been good this year. Ask Buck.

ROFL

The "12th Man" hasn't made a significant impact on a game since the Thanksgiving Night game against Denver.

And the 48,000 that show up tomorrow won't either.

I agree, it hasn't. But you're crowing about getting pressure on the QB via a backup LT and a shitty one at that. Wade Smith looks like a Pro-Bowler compared to Heyer.

Doesn't matter. I can't count the times I've seen the Chief's career day defense suddenly transfer into something that makes Philip Rivers cry. I hope it continues tomorrow.

It was said in jest, so I'm glad you found it humorous. I know it's like a ghost town.

I'm looking at more than the LT to be honest.

The pocket was getting shoved in Rivers' face a lot Monday night....I'm counting on Dorsey to show up tomorrow.

And you know, god forbid Tyson Jackson make a play.

The pocket was shoved in Rivers' face because Mike Nolan did a great job of adjusting at the half and confusing the Chargers' O-Line with blitzes up the middle.

Clancy Pendergast is no Mike Nolan.

Why is it every time the Broncos beat somebody Chief fans think that they can beat that team too? It was like this when you guys played the Cowboys.ROFL

It has nothing to do with the Broncos.

And we almost beat the Cowboys.

The Chargers are just not a very good football team. Even Oakland had them on the ropes.

Touchdown Bowe 10-24-2009 04:13 PM

Chargers are basically the Cowboys with a better QB

Voted yes ... I've got my mojo goin' ... whatever that counts ..........

Marcellus 10-24-2009 07:22 PM

Chargers are 28th in points given up, 27th in rushing defense.
They are 32nd in rushing but 5th in passing offense.

We are no higher than 25th in any offensive category and 24th in scoring defense.

So it looks like Rivers passes all over the place and its still a close game.

I call a loss but a competitive game.

Fairplay 10-24-2009 07:40 PM

I've developed a case of apathy for this team.

Pink Paradise 2010 10-24-2009 08:51 PM

i believe so :)

Reerun_KC 10-24-2009 08:52 PM

So far the homers are winning over the negative nancy's....

Lets get it done Chiefs!

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2009 09:31 AM

I think the Chiefs can win this game. The Chargers are soft and they have a lot of locker room turmoil. I don't think they believe in their coach, and they can't run the football for shit.

This is a good barometer for the rest of this year. If they win, they can possibly get to 5-6 wins. If not, then it's probably closer to a 3 win team.

If we are looking for actual improvement, this is the week to see it.

kstater 10-25-2009 09:37 AM

I withhold opinion until CoMoChief makes his prediction.

This is the first game all year for the Chiefs that I truly, 100% believe they will win.

I think Larry will have a big game this week (23 carries, 100 yards, 1 TD)...

Larry will keep that D guessing opening up the play-action game for Cassel...the Chiefs line will play ok today...

Like always, Philip Rivers will have to beat us because we are solid against the run.

20-17 Chiefs.
