kcxiv 10-27-2009 07:41 PM

Cleveland came out smoking, then seriously cooled off, now Boston is up by 11.

It's really not funny, though. Were you a fan, or did the move not really affect you much?

DaKernal 10-27-2009 07:51 PM

i usually hate even thinking about the NBA during football season, but i'm actually ready to see the lakers in action. sad, i wonder why this year is different
:(

Buck 10-27-2009 07:51 PM

2 teams I dislike very much are playing right now.

Screw this game.

Cant wait til the next game though.

Buck 10-27-2009 07:52 PM

LOL @ Shaq trying to dunk over 4 guys, and I gotta say great effort by KG there.

Buck 10-27-2009 07:53 PM

Bad call, actually.

Buck 10-27-2009 07:54 PM

I thought Kobe/Rivers were the only 2 players in professional sports who complained to the ref.

dirk digler 10-27-2009 07:54 PM

Celtics up by 5. The NBA is officially my second favorite sport.

dirk digler 10-27-2009 07:58 PM

stupid foul mo

kcxiv 10-27-2009 08:01 PM

love that they called lebron for palming/carrying whatever. About time they call that shit.

dirk digler 10-27-2009 08:06 PM

If the Celtics stay healthy they are going to be in the Finals

dirk digler 10-27-2009 08:11 PM

Looks like barring a miracle the Celtics win

dirk digler 10-27-2009 08:34 PM

Does Ariza get his?

Pioli Zombie 10-27-2009 08:35 PM

The Lakers should give a ring to Kevin Garnett for getting hurt.

dirk digler 10-27-2009 08:42 PM

Webber and Barkley seem a little bitter that the Lakers scrubs got rings and they didn't

Absolutely..haha, I can't believe Adam Morrison got a ring. The NBA is actually my favorite sport. NFL a close second.

Pioli Zombie 10-27-2009 08:44 PM

Barkley sounds hammered.

Barring a miracle from the Spurs, and or a significant injury, it will be Lakers-Celtics in the Finals.

The NBA is really growing on me and it is closing in on the NFL as my favorite.

They've actually assembled a decent team this year, but they could not afford that Griffin injury.

Reaper16 10-27-2009 09:13 PM

Baron Davis is rocking Li Nings -- Chinese sneakers.

Can you name the first NBA player to wear Li Ning's?

dirk digler 10-27-2009 09:31 PM

Wizards beat the Mavs

I hate the NBA.

No, I can't. I get the feeling that someone was before Shaq, but I don't want to be a cheatyface and look it up.

BWillie 10-27-2009 10:09 PM

The only way the Laker's won't repeat is because of injuries. Not. Gonna. Happen. They might want to worry about Derek Fisher because he ain't gettin' any younger. If they could somehow package a deal for Kirk Hinrich that would be ideal but I don't think it's possible

UteChief 10-27-2009 10:15 PM

I can't wait for the first home game on Friday. I upgraded my seats this year since a lot were available. It should be a good season.

LOL @ Utah Jazz fans. It must be exhilarating every year to be good enough every year to make the playoffs, just to fail every. single. year. ever.

Utah Jazz=Zero Championships

It's not gonna get any better soon

Utah Jazz seem to perpetually be the 90's Chiefs.

Yeah, I feel kinda bad for them. Hell of a franchise, but never going to amount to anything elite anytime soon.

Those 90's Jazz teams were insane. Some of the best teams to not win a title. It sucks for Malone and Stockton that they had to play in the era of MJ.

Same thing for Barkley. All of those guys are in the same category.."I could of had a ring if I didn't have to play against Jordan/Pippen"..I, of course, put Pippen in there because he was my favorite player.

Pippen is, like, in the top 50 all-time. He definitely needs to be put in there.

Man, oh man, was that '93 Suns team good. Alas.

Saccopoo 10-27-2009 10:57 PM

It's opening night tomorrow. The Jazz have their first game then. That's when the real season starts.

They win the vast majority of their home games, so the crowd is pumped and the stadium is full. They are continually in the playoffs, have, as recently as two seasons ago, been in the Conference Finals and have a nice young nucleus and good depth. I can name about 26 other teams that would love to be in their shoes.

You want to feel bad for a team, then saddle up to the Warriors, Clippers and the like. Jazz fans are pretty happy with where the team is at right now.

Yeah but those teams don't have any hope. The worst thing is having hope, and then having it all crushed to pieces. I am a KU fan and obviously a Chiefs fan, I experienced that in the 90's. It sucked.

The Jazz probably do have the best home court advantage and college crowd though, you have to give it to them for that.
