Jamaal = 1,000?

Will Jamaal Charles reach 1,000 rushing yards this season?
He currently has 759. He needs 241 yards. Doable?

How about this kid while we're at it? He's been a pleasant surprise for this football team and gives us one of VERY few big play threats offensively. If we can find a sturdy back to spell him he'll be lethal next season.

Bane 12-21-2009 12:31 PM

Possible? Yes.Id like to see it but I'm not betting on it.

Dayze 12-21-2009 12:32 PM

dobale for a 'normal' team. not for this team.

I hope he gets it, but I think he'll end up with about 925-950.

LaChapelle 12-21-2009 12:34 PM

He plays with an unfair advantage
he can take out his shoulder and replace it with a fresh one

Micjones 12-21-2009 12:35 PM

Denver isn't very good against the run.
Cincy, on the other hand, is the 3rd best run defense in the league.

Dayze 12-21-2009 12:37 PM

Chiefs will be down 17-0 before the end of the 1st qtr.

then Haley will call WR bubble screens the rest of the day.

Him and watching the passing game evolve. I wanna see more of what Chambers and Bowe can get done together.

ANd how much more confident did Cassel look with Bowe in the game?

ClevelandBronco 12-21-2009 12:38 PM

Bush and McFadden combined for 207 yards against the Broncos yesterday. The Denver run defense is equipped to do its part to help.

They've (Cinci) been fairly inconsistent lately, but I imagine they'll look great against our run game. Nothing against Charles, but I don't expect our OL (except Albert) to hold up well against them.

If only he could be as productive as Larry Johnson.

You gotta' love it when the true talent gets discovered after your(on)crack coaching staff benches him in a favor of a broke-dick ****tard for most of the season.

you never know? Its possible. I think its doable. He needs a couple of good games and has to average about 120 yards per game. He's shown he is capable of making big plays, which usually adds up in big yardage. throw a few big plays in there and he could very well do it.

Agreed. I'm certainly hoping he does it. I'm not going to bank on it happening though. It he does it that'd be nice but if not no big deal. He's already been quite amazing if you ask me, given his limited amount of games he's started. He's done quite well for himself (behind a crap line too). He's been quite a breathe of fresh air regarding Chiefs football this season as far as I'm concerned. So who can, or should the Chiefs pick up this offseason to compliment/ spell Charles. For some reason when I ask myself that question I keep thinking Gerhart would be a nice pick if it's not too early of a pick for that matter.

He really needs to get himself a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. If his face is a little puffy in the morning he can put an ice pack on while doing stomach crunches. I'll bet with a little work, he could do 1,000. His skin could use some work too - after he removes the ice pack, he could use a deep pore cleanser lotion, and a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almod body scrub and an exfoliating gel scrub on his face. After the shower, he needs to apply an herb-mint facial mask for 10 minutes. I'd probably use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. He should finish up with a moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

139 is doable. If he gets close and the situation allows... I hope that Haley feeds him...He deserves it...

Honestly, I hope the Chiefs run Jamaal over and over just to make sure this happens. I'm generally burned out on individual accomplishments, but this one would be a statement about a cornerstone of this team going forward. Losing LJ and finding JC is probably the best takeaway this season has to offer.

I agree 100%. I hope Haley runs it down their throat until he makes 140 yds, it would be a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season.

At least we could say that we have a good runningback. Charles numbers have been great since Johnson left, and it would be nice to have him break 1,000 yds just to have something to be happy about.

...or they could **** JC like they did Dwayne Bowe 2 years ago.

But I hope he gets it. Denver's run D sucks and if JC can get 100+ yards on the Bengals(3rd) then he might be able to get the 140 he needs to get 1000. Hopefully. He ****ing deserves it.

RINGLEADER 12-28-2009 10:33 AM

You know, some asshole on the Broncos forum was really trying to tell me that JC has a good run blocking line.

You also need to stop comparing a rookie with a second year player. Talk to me when Moreno is in his second year.

Personally, charles is just a speed guy (a scat back) and nowhere near the complete back that Moreno is. I believe Charles gets most of his big runs off that reverse play which is almost more like a pass.

Moreno jock strap > chefs organization

talastan 12-28-2009 11:12 AM

Something tells me that donkey-boy knows nothing of the Chiefs. Goff was on IR for a majority of the time Charles has carried the rock. Secondly, Charles might as well be a a rookie as far as being a featured back. I'd love to see Charles get his 140 yds in a Chiefs win this weekend (as unlikely as that is) and keep the donks out of the playoffs!!

rockymtnchief 12-28-2009 11:14 AM

Any mention of Mike Goof immediately makes the Donk poster an idiot.

Well at least Haley gave the guy a shot. When Herm was HC and LJ was suspended, the bulk of the carries went to Kolby (don't talk about Jamaal Charles durability issues) Smith.
