And the next Head Coach at the University of Florida is...
Too soon?
Anybody else think Steve Spurrier is wearing knee pads and pulling up in the AD's drive? |
Jim Harbuagh

I wouldn't be shocked if they went after Mike Shanahan. They looked at him when they fired Zook
|
Tim Tebow.
|
wild conjecture: Bob Stoops
|
Mark Mangino has taken his name out of consideration
|
Bobby could really skull**** FSU...
|
Bill Snyder. Closer to the retirement village.

Wild speculation part 2: Brian Schottenheimer who was a QB there under Spurrier to learn how to coach and went right into coaching.
Stoops would not be a totat suprise. Dan Mullen? |

As a cyclone fan i vote for former ISU HC and Snyder/Haden Fry asst and now DL coach asst/HC @Florida Dan Macarney

He interviewed very last year for head coaching positions and I don't think there's any way he goes to college, especially given he's spent his entire coaching career in the NFL. |

Todd Haley. With Herm as defensive coordinator and Mike Solari as offensie coordinator.

I wonder how awesome DaKC man is about now?

I agree Brian has the mind for the NFL and would need excellent recruiters to suceed and that it would be a longshot. But his name being mentioned would make sense w/the spurrier connection. I agree on the unlikelyhood though. |

I think the only way Schottenheimer goes to the college ranks would be if he had absolutely no shot at an NFL HC gig, which at this point in time, certainly is not the case. |

I have read on footballscoop.com that MTS LB coach Manny Diaz is a hot name for either a DC gig or more money as a LB coach at bigger schools because of his ability to recruit Miami. I remember that name from Erik Walden and being so irate when he was released last year. |
Stoops won't bail on OU. Too much money at stake. He gets a huge annuity in a couple of years
|

I can totally see him bailing... |
jimmy johnson?

In all honesty that is a perfect job for Herm Edwards. He could recruit major top talent to Florida with a pro style offense and Cover 2 NFL defense.

Gruden seems like a likely candidate. I see no reason for Stoops to leave Oklahoma.

Not gonna happen. If he ever leaves IMHO it's to the NFL, and only if he wants the challenge. |

Seriously though, I could see Herm being successful in the college ranks. He'd probably be a great recruiter |

If a repost is reposted thrice, does it then become like a double or triple negative?

I don't have time to go through all the Urban Meyer threads, but does anyone know what health problems he's having? Has there been an speculation in the media?
|

Poor Urban just hasn't been the same... |
Garry Patterson. How K-state didn't get him is beyond me he's a great coach.

Now he's the AP CoY. He'll get a great offer from somebody else and our window of opportunity will be officially shut. Forever. |
