**** OFFICIAL Crappy Early Games Thread ****

NFL kind a screwed us on the early games. Why not throw us a bone with the Dallas Eagles game or something?

the Talking Can 01-03-2010 11:58 AM

i'm getting 4 games today

2 early and 2 late....wierd

Spott 01-03-2010 11:58 AM

The only somewhat good games are Pitt/Miami and Houston/NE(if NE plays their starters).

-King- 01-03-2010 12:00 PM

I'll be watching Minn/NYG. Hopefully NYG actually puts an NFL team out on the field this week unlike last week.

They do the double double header on the last week of the season. The networks share the first 16 doubleheaders and they both get one in week 17. You would think the NFL would let both networks have doubleheaders every week to get more games on TV, but the NFL has always been kind of screwy with their broadcast rules.

I was tempted...

I did do a couple of teasers for fun, nothing big...just betting the Vegas line moves...

2 Team:

Bears (+3)
Texans (-1)

3 Team:

Panthers (-3)
49ers (-2)
Jaguars (+8)

Panthers got off to a bang...good thing I'm playing against J-Stew in my FFL championship today!!! Damnit.

I'll be keeping an eye on Falcons/Bucs for draft position.

Easy 6 01-03-2010 12:06 PM

I get to choose between Pit/Mia or Chi/Det.

-King- 01-03-2010 12:06 PM

Jonathan Stewart with a 67 yard TD run.

Wow! WTF is up with NY?

-King- 01-03-2010 12:07 PM

Easy TD for the Vikes. Had like four 10+ yard plays in a row.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:08 PM

Schaub TD...

Texans would be DANGEROUS in the playoffs...

Peyton INT...he's probably done for the day.

At least they make the product available. The cost is high and getting higher, but I never have to worry about whether I'll be able to see a particular game. It's really a great product.

-King- 01-03-2010 12:09 PM

Wait, why did Peyton even start? The Colts are ****ing dumbass. If you want to justify pulling Peyton last week, why the **** would you have him playing even 1 minute this week?

I make smart, educated bets and do hours of research per weeks on my picks.

I have made a nice profit on the NFL this year...and you can find evidence in the gambling challenge forum...although that's different because I usually just bet with Vegas since the line moves are so dramatic since Dartgod posts those games on Wednesdays usually...

Spott 01-03-2010 12:09 PM

I think I'm in the only part of the country that is getting this God awful Cleveland/Jacksonville game.

dude of course he's going to start...he's chasing Favres consecutive start record...

sadly that might be the best game of the early ones if the Vikings game gets out of hand...

I guess the Phins/Steelers game is ok...

I am just watching NFL RedZone today...I have to freaking work at 4 so I'll miss a lot of the Chiefs game for the first time all year.

lots of 7-8 / 8-7 teams...seems like ATL could move several places today

cdcox 01-03-2010 12:11 PM

Men of Steel take the lead.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:12 PM

Public was heavy on Bears...Vegas seemed to like the Lions but I went against them there...the Lions are awful.

A handicapper I know LOVED the Bucs +3...I didn't see it and didn't bet either way but I do bet with his college basketball picks and he's 26-13 so far this year...

-King- 01-03-2010 12:12 PM

Touchdown Steelers.

Connar Barth hits a FG to put the Bucs ahead of the Falcons 3-0.

Yeah it is. I'm trying to get some of the other games to stream on the computer but I haven't had any lucky yet. I'm also getting the Giants/Vikings game which wouldn't be so bad if both teams had something to play for.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:14 PM

Fred Jackson TD catch from Fitzpatrick.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:15 PM

they better not put Peyton back in the game

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:15 PM

milkman 01-03-2010 12:15 PM

Welker down with a knee.

OnTheWarpath15 01-03-2010 12:15 PM

Any where from 14th to 21st.

15th, 18th or 19th are most likely.

OnTheWarpath15 01-03-2010 12:16 PM

Christ, that looked really bad.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:16 PM

well now it's between the Colts/Chargers in the AFC

the Talking Can 01-03-2010 12:16 PM

and the NE dynasty sputters to a rest in the middle of the highway....

That might be multiple tears. That was as nasty a non-contact injury as I've seen in a while.

the Talking Can 01-03-2010 12:18 PM

tearing it at the end of the season is shitty for next year too....

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:18 PM

That's the thing with knee injuries - you can walk, you just can't cut, or have any lateral stability.

The way that thing bent - the wrong way, no less - he'll be very lucky to play again this year, IMO.

You'd think hyperextended, best case scenario.

I tore up my ACL and MCL and not only walked on it, but finished my day at work.

Walking off means absolutely nothing.

Feel for the guy...that shit is something that could be career threatening.

OnTheWarpath15 01-03-2010 12:21 PM

Welker getting carted to the locker room.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:22 PM

I hate the injury...just makes teams like the Colts feel as if resting their players really is the right thing to do...

Shit, maybe it is...

I still think you go for 19-0 and immortalize your team forever...but whatever

Yeah, its a big catch22.

Pablo 01-03-2010 12:23 PM

Henne marches the Phins down the field and ties it up at 7.

Easy 6 01-03-2010 12:23 PM

Its simply amazing what losing Polamalu has done to Pits D.

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:23 PM

Peyton Manning playing another series?

Jim Caldwell is just a moron.

That is all.

cdcox 01-03-2010 12:23 PM

7-7 between Miami and Pitt

Hootie 01-03-2010 12:25 PM

I have dallas clark as my #18 fantasy pick next year right now...

I wouldn't take another TE for 30 picks after him, either

Frazod 01-03-2010 12:26 PM

I hope somebody breaks Brunell so Daniel gets some playing time for New Orleans.

cdcox 01-03-2010 12:27 PM

-King- 01-03-2010 12:43 PM

Wait, Manning played a full quarter? What the **** is wrong with Caldwell?

-King- 01-03-2010 12:56 PM

Giants getting blown out again.

Basileus777 01-03-2010 01:01 PM

I love how Indy doesn't care about going undefeated, but they'll have Manning throw the ball every down to pad Dallas Clark's numbers.

They care about meaningless individual records, but don't care about trying to achieve history as a team. It's kind of sad.

OnTheWarpath15 01-03-2010 01:08 PM

Pollard just recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD.

LMAO

Bob Dole 01-03-2010 01:08 PM

pollard with the score.

He's worthless.

cdcox 01-03-2010 01:09 PM

Santonio Holmes really hurt his passer rating with that one.

-King- 01-03-2010 01:09 PM

Wow, touchdown Bernard Pollard.

Patriots stopped the Texans on 4th down at the 1, and then Fred Taylor fumbled and it was recovered by Pollard.

Touchdown vikings.

kcxiv 01-03-2010 01:10 PM
