I think its high time we start holding our local journalist accountable and give his manager something to judge his job worthiness on for once. Obviously the management staff at "The Star" hasn't been clear about Whitlock's tenure and has taken a backseat approach when giving him his annual review. No one else has decided to do this that I know of so I appointed myself the Captain of this ship.

Now first Jason I will give you the specifics on what you are being graded on.

Personality, Likeability, Truth, Knowledge of the subject you write about, Personal Bias

1) Personality - D minus - Jason you just dont get it with many Chiefs fans. Its not about you and what you think that concerns us. Its objective, unbiased, honest and fact finding specifics about the Chiefs team. Nothing more and nothing less. When you throw in any semblence of your opinions, it makes us want to puke.

2) Liekability - F - You give most of us no reason to like you. Enough said. Change your ways and take heed to this report card and maybe next year we will change our minds. (LMAO)

3) Truth - F - If you would spend a week with UCrawford and ChiefDJ you could learn fact finding 101 concerning the Chiefs and their stats. No time less than that would give you an ample opportunity to learn how to wacth film and research game tape the way these masters do it. Again all you ever do is resort to your own opinions and thats what makes people just tune you out.

4) Knowledge of the subject you write about - C minus - You seem to be able to find Arrowhead stadium for each game, so I'll give you kudos on that.

5) Personal Bias - F minus - Unfortunately there is no grade lower but you would surely receive it if there was. Plain and simple, I think you practice the art of racism as well as any member of the KKK, that I have ever witnessed. I dont see the same issues with white players that you love to bring in with the "brothers". Case in point:

Now, you were able to show us how a black player was underpaid for his performance and never mentioned Andy Studebaker?

I also think you went a little too long with the Waters - Haley incident or lack thereof.

So overall Jason Whitlock, if it were in my power with this objective performance review, you guessed it - fired!

You need to start doing a better job or.....say...move to Oakland? The color scheme of your comments would fit great out there!

Never fails to amaze me how many people have trouble grasping the idea that columnists and beat reporters have different jobs. It's like they think "he works at a newspaper, so he must be adam teicher".

It never fails to amaze me how often people think that because they don't agree with an opinion that it makes it a bad column.

Or the converse.

And add ... it never fails to amaze me how many homers get upset when Jason or someone else states realistic truths about the team. ... what's that saying ... "... you can't handle the truth..."

By reading the blogs on the Star's site ... it seems that many fans expect the Star writers to be cheerleader for the team and report that everything is swell.

Its an opinion, you feel what you want. Jason has no more truth to the Chiefs than you or I... And is nothing more than a hack that gets paid to write his racist spew.

I'm not a big Jason fan but it cracks me up that so many people get their panties in a bunch over what he has to say. I enjoy his articles sometimes, sometimes I don't. When I don't, I go on with my day and don't cry about it like a b*tch. Obviously if you have an opinion here you read his articles, therefore that equals success for him.

Very well said. I know we are all guilty of this, but some people have an obsession over something (or someone, in this case) they really hate.
