****Official Jets vs. Chargers AFC Divisional Playoff Thread****

The day is upon us.

I have to wake up in 6 hours to get ready to go to the game, yet I can't sleep.

Jewish Rabbi 01-17-2010 02:24 AM

I knew the Chiefs should have drafted Sanchez

Param 01-17-2010 03:09 AM

exciting! if its the early game im sleepin through it

BryanBusby 01-17-2010 03:32 AM

This game would be worth watching if Marty was still Head Coach

Fritz88 01-17-2010 07:25 AM

Sorry Buck, it's going to be the Jets.

This game is worth watching simply because the Jets actually play defense, and do it aggressively.

GO JETS!

boogblaster 01-17-2010 09:33 AM

Bolts by 10 .. book em dono ....

MichaelH 01-17-2010 09:34 AM

I simply cannot root for Nerv Turner and Philip Rivers. Even though they are fellow AFC West mates, I am rooting for the Jets.

JD10367 01-17-2010 09:45 AM

Jets have a very solid defense and Revis will shut down the first option. But, like New Orleans, the Chargers have multiple options (Jackson, Gates, Sproles, Floyd), which always makes a team harder to combat. Combine that and the home field, and Sanchez's rookieness, and I think the Chargers win 34-17.

Brings to mind a recent article, which reaffirms my opinion that a team with multiple mid-level targets is infinitely more dangerous than a team with one high-level go-to guy. Shut down that one guy, and you f**k up the whole offense.

Wheres the Cowboys/Vikes thread?

Thats going to be the best game of the weekend.

Galileo Humpkins 01-17-2010 10:02 AM

Now some rivers run high, some rivers run low,
When Rivers runs red, then he's starting his flow,
And it's called menstr'ation, and here's what it means to you,
You will notice his bloomers are spotty at first.
Stand back – his ovarian dam's gonna burst,
Jets, don't be afraid, it's a natural t'ing,
Just wad up some cotton and hand him some string.

Mr. Laz 01-17-2010 10:02 AM

go Dolts!!!

Red Brooklyn 01-17-2010 10:29 AM

I can't, in all good consciousness, route for a division rival. But, yeah, the Bolts are gonna kill. I don't imagine it'll be very pretty if you're a J-E-T-S- JETS, JETS, JETS fan.

Why whatever do you mean, sir? Are you implying something about my spellling and/or grammer? Them's fihgting worlds!

teedubya 01-17-2010 10:42 AM

Chargers are driven... I'll root for them. The Jets fans are douchey... most are Yankees fans, so **** them.

RealSNR 01-17-2010 10:50 AM

The Jets are reeruned. Rex Ryan is a fat ****. In my opinion, it should be against the rules for a team with single-digit wins on the season to be in the Super Bowl. So **** the Jets.

Chargers win.

POND_OF_RED 01-17-2010 11:01 AM

This game just bores me. I might tune in towards the end just to watch LT cry about the Jets doing his electric glide at midfield.

The Jets are the '95 Chiefs - all defense and little offense. Chargers win this one.

Jets blitz a LOT, Gates will be left open and have a career day.

End of Story.

BigChiefFan 01-17-2010 12:04 PM

The playoffs rock. It'd be nice to get back.

LaChapelle 01-17-2010 12:05 PM

LT and Al Davis had a race
Al Davis was winning until they had to hurdle Rex Ryan

Well the spread is 8, I think you gotta take the the points and the Jets.

Dolts lost to teams that effectively blitz--Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Denver. If the Jets can get a turnover or two, this game will be closer than you think.

Pioli Zombie 01-17-2010 02:29 PM

San Diego at Indianapolis and Minnesota at New Orleans would be the top 4 teams this year and the top 4 QBs this year matched up. So I'm rooting for San Diego!!

The Mad Crapper 01-17-2010 02:32 PM

In the last seven games, San Diego is allowing 5.1 yards per carry.

Sanchez just threw a PICK!

Oh, wait a minute...

Jets are just gonna run the ball, maybe have 15 passing plays, throw in the Bradcat on occassion.

Is the game blacked out in SD

That kid will evolve into a very good QB IMO, but today? he's toast... no matter how they try to protect him, he's still a rookie deep in the playoffs.

He'll mess something up, i'd bet on it.

-King- 01-17-2010 03:16 PM

Not after last week. He had a great game against the Bungles---

Game ball to him and Jay Feeley.

I don't really care who wins as long as there's lots of blood and broken bones.

Two more teams I freaking loathe.

Pretty much how I feel. Nothing I'd like to see better than Tomlinson get his knees blown out, Rivers shoulders dislocated, Sanchez face crushed and Merriman shot.

Gonzo 01-17-2010 03:38 PM

I'm just hoping for a good game, the 1st three this weekend have been abortions.

If the Jets win, I'm putting Buck on suicide watch.

What a stupid play on the ball by Cotchery.

I was going to make a joke about Cotcherys age and him not remembering how to play football...but then I looked it up. He's only 27. Why does it feel like he's been in the league for such a long time?

How can you root for a team coached by Rex Ryan?

Hootie 01-17-2010 03:49 PM

this would be the right time to unleash the sanchize if you ask me...

there only chance is a big game from Mark Sanchez...they aren't going to win by running it today

DeezNutz 01-17-2010 03:50 PM

Stupid ****s. SD has 15 players at the LOS.

Stretch the field early.

It sure looks that way but the score is still tied so no need to panic--- yet.

They don't have a great run D.

If you mean unleash by doing the exact opposite of how they scripted the first drive, then I totally agree with you.

-King- 01-17-2010 03:50 PM

That was a red light call for Sanchez. LMAO

TheGuardian 01-17-2010 03:50 PM

If the Jets had a legit QB they'd be scary. But Sanchez is truly the suck.

Stinger 01-17-2010 03:51 PM

28 yard punt ..... ouch
