Bottom (5) players with playing time we want to shed

I've seen numerous threads about who CP posters want with our draft picks and almost equally the number of who we want in free agency.

But I would like to ask the board to pick their "Top 5" of the "Bottom 5" that they never want to see wearing a Chiefs uniform again.

Here's mine:

1.Dantrell Savage
2.Ike Ndukwe
3.Mike Goff
4.Jake O'Connell
5.Bobby Wade

EyePod 01-19-2010 07:13 AM

I'd say that O'Connell and Wade are not in my list.

EyePod 01-19-2010 07:16 AM

1. Sean Ryan (I'd rather O'Connell over him. At least O'Connell has an excuse that he's a rookie.)
2. Mike Goff
3. Devard Darling
4. Mike Brown
5. Lance Long

And I don't remember when Darling went on the IR, but I hate seeing him around at all.

PhillyChiefFan 01-19-2010 07:31 AM

1. Jamaal Charles
2. Chris Chambers
3. Brandon Flowers
4. Dwayne Bowe
5. Tamba Hali

Seriously, who wants those guys, let's trade them all for draft picks!1!one!1won!

I'd wait till the rules say I have to cut someone before I let anyone just walk. Bring'em all back and then bring in the new and make them compete. Then when you have to start making the cuts.

Mr. Laz 01-19-2010 09:31 AM

1. Niswanger (center)
2. Brown (strong safety)
3. Mays (ILB)
4. Ron edwards (NT)
5. Wade(KR/PR)

CoMoChief 01-19-2010 09:34 AM

Mike Goff
Rudy Niswanger
Mike Brown
Mike Vrabel
Any WR not named Bowe, Chambers, Bradley

tyton75 01-19-2010 09:34 AM

Ron Edwards and Corey Mays... while undertalented to start.. are hard working players and would be great to have on the team as backups..

IMO

yep ... alot of guys can stick around as backups/special teamers.

i just answered the question as it pertained to starting

i don't care if Niswanger sticks around as a backup, maybe he can do better at guard because he doesn't have to snap it.

Bottom 5, right?

Ike Ndukwe
Goff
O'Connell or Ryan - One or both need to go
Savage or Javarris Williams - One or both need to go
Gafford

Just avoiding the cut are Darling and Wade.

Some of the players you guys picked should probably not be starting, but I'm NOT cutting:

Mike Brown - good backup and leadership may be a plus
Rudy Niswanger - decent backup at both center and guard positions
Mike Vrabel - good backup and ladership may be a plus
Ron Edwards - decent body for rotation at nose tackle
Corey Mays and Demarrio Williams - decent rotational linebackers
McGraw - maybe, but he has played well in special teams at times

I think we ought to be naming five guys we'll keep. Everybody else is suspect.

The Chiefs cut Bradley week 13 of the season ... he's now a Tampa Bay Buc.

This is my list. I'd put Brown over Niswanger, but other than that, it's perfect.

Fat Elvis 01-19-2010 10:49 AM

How can you stop at five?

With the amount of suckage we have on our team, the Chiefs have an embarassment of riches.

Devard Darling

O'Callasuck is gawd dam myth invented by Milkman ... it was based off of one stinking preseason game back when O'Callaghan was still playing for New England. O'Callaghan improved as the year went on and just might become a solid right tackle.

I won't be upset if the Chiefs find a stud replacement for him but he hardly sucks and just might become good.

Simply Red 01-19-2010 11:44 AM

i thought Mike Brown was awesome, no? seriously don't bash me, I never claimed to know much about football, but didn't he make several plays, or does he just suck?

He made 1 good play for every 25,000 plays he sucked on.

Theres a lot of TD's given up by our nickle back and when Brown runs over there from the other side of the field and can't get there in time and they see him on the screen they just assume he blew the play.

I'm not even sure how anyone can create a list that doesn't have Goff on it. I might have to jump on the Pioli is an idiot bandwagon if he is even on the squad next year.

Man that's pretty good.

Mine would be the same except sub out Richardson with Niswanger.

Rudy should be a backup as Richardson is.

I took him over Washington, just because Washington was a rookie.

It was hard to leave Niswanger off the list. Like everyone else I'd like to see how he does at guard. But I'm sick of seeing him getting pushed into Cassels lap.

I just fear he'll as a Guard get pushed into Cassel's lap.

I just don't see it. Guard, Center? He'll still have to take on DTs that overpower him.

I've made up my mind that he's either the weak or uses terrible leverage when blocking. Either way, I've seen enough of that guy.

i see ... so you want the nickleback replaced.

i thought richardson showed a little bit ... he's only a 3 yr player.

Really? Maybe I missed it. I seemed to remember him behind the play more than anything. I'm hoping with a year under his belt, Washington steps up to take the nickle.

neither washington or Richardson were anything to write home about but it's just that i wouldn't list nickle back as our top 5 need imo.

Niswanger played well at guard at the end of the 08 season, but I agree. enough is enough, Lets draft Pouncey and sign FA Amano from TEN, Matt Tennant. Wade Smith is a guard we need to keep.

Branden Albert struggled last season learning technique.

Here's what going to happen when LT is solidified.

Teams will line up their best speed rusher on O'Callaghan and abuse him, much as the Falcons did with John Abraham against McIntosh.

I didn't see enough of Washington to judge, though he looked pretty athletic.

Richardson seemed to get beat a lot. I thought the little I saw of Travis Daniels was superior. I'm not sure that any of these guys were better than Tyron Brackenridge, though.
