5 Hour Energy
 

Is this stuff bad for you? It works so much better than energy drinks and I never feel like my heart is gonna asplode when I drink it, yet its like liquid crack.

I'm considering buying a 12 pack on Amazon for $25.

my woman drinks it cause she works the overnight. Shit winds me way tight.

No, it's not bad for you. It's just overpriced for what it is.

It didn't make me jittery or anything but I didn't notice anything other than I got in a REAL foul mood. I just wanted to kill somebody for no reason really at all. I never touched the stuff again.

Its like $4 if you buy a single bottle at 7-11, but on Amazon it can be had for $2 each if you buy a 12 pack.

Whenever I drink it I feel like I can take on Muhammad Ali though, which might be a bad thing.

I guess I've just built a tolerance for all that energy stuff.I've tried red bull,amp,monster,rock star and damn near anything energy drink related.I tried the 5 hr energy cause it doesn't take a hour to drink it like some of the monstrous energy drinks,but I honestly cant see any difference in any of them.They all seem like glorified soda to me.

For $4, I'll just go to bed an hour earlier.....

not sure if you have Dollar Generals there, but yeah, 1.00ea - their version is called Stacker 2. ... Same shit.

Anything that will boost your enegry like that will have side effects.

Besides physically, I've seen this kind stuff (diet pills especially) actually ruin families.

any ****ing family that is ruined by energy drinks wasn't exactly the waltons to begin with.

never tried it. i don't like to be cranked up.
i'm more of a downer kind of guy, and a couple beers will do the trick.

It's cheaper than Starbucks. I buy them at Costco (price ends up being a little over a dollar a piece). They definitely work.

They only contain the caffeine equivelent of one cup of cofee. I like to take them with me to Vegas. Everyone else in my group is asleep by 2am while I'm still drinking and gambling.

I drink about 6 of those things a day in order to offset the effects of the morphine sulphate. Between the two, I'm able to maintain a fairly normal regimen. Except for the walking into walls and the attempting to flush my clothes down the toilet and stuff, but the doctors say that will pass with time.

They do taste like crap, though. The orange-flavored ones are slightly better than the cherry ones, but Costco only has cherry.

At least they're small enough that you don't have to taste it long. Yuck.

I've found that one works. Taking extra really doesn't.

I had a $100 order from prosource online and they just added 8 of these things as a "sample" to me. My guess is they really aren't expensive, at least for the company. They probably really mark them up, and sell them at the same cost as red bull. I'd rather just drink energy drinks, I like the way they taste. I can't really tell if 5 hour energy worked or not.

It's a ton of vitamin b-12 so I don't know how that could hurt you. It's either a 5HE or I purchase a bottle of liquid b-12 from Smoothie King. If you do that you should pick up a bottle of Steel Libido while you're there.

$25.00 sounds expensive. Sometimes Walgreens has six packs on sale and seems like there cheaper then that. I'd check that if I were you.

Sometimes I think that I'm the only adult in America who doesn't constantly imbibe stimulants in order to function.

I can't take stimulants. They give me heart palpitations.

I took a No Doz once before a Stats final by sophomore year of college. I got the shakes so bad I could hardly hold my pencil.

Tried to drink a Monster Energy on a 650 mile drive, but it tasted like the worst strawberry soda imaginable.

Not a coffee drinker, either. :shrug:

Absolutely not. I ****ing hate mornings. Today was a day off, and I woke up at 3.

You should become an auditor. I didn't used to drink coffee. Then I became an auditor. Then it became critical for me to drink coffee to stay the **** awake. Coffee was free, so it became the beverage of choice.

I am no longer an auditor.

I once drove non-stop from Rhode Island to St. Louis. I was in western Pennsylvania around sunset and started getting a bit tired. Slammed a box of NoDozs with a Mountain Dew and kept going. I was twitchy as Bill the Cat by the time I got to Illinois, but I kept going. Arrived in St. Louis about 5:30, slept for a couple of hours, and was good to go the next day.

I was also 23. That helped, too.

I once got really tired on the drive from KC to LA by way of TX so I stopped by a drug store and bought a bunch of NoDoze, dissolved the pills in a quart of Pepsi, and using a plastic bag and a bicycle tire pump, gave myself a NoDoze/Pepsi enema at a truck stop.

After thirty minutes, I decided that driving was too easy so I put the car in neutral and pushed it to California.
