Parlay's

Hit a 6 teamer and 4 teamer last night. Unfortunately for me I didn't nut up more than $2 for the 6 teamer and $3 for the 4 teamer. Still a descent payday. What really p's me off is I almost went $10 on the six teamer. A matter of fact i had $10 on it and changed it before i submitted to $2, thinking I would use the other $8 on some other games. I lost the $8 i would have used. Anyone ever hit on a 10 teamer? I think I'm going $2 on one tonight.

basketball? shoot me the lines.

Lono 02-12-2010 02:02 PM

I'm at work atm so I can't get on any sites with lines.
Here are the games I'm thinking of going with. Teams bet on obviously will depend on lines.

Montana vs Portland State: I think I will go with Montana. PS played last night.
Northern Colorado vs Idaho State: Thinking of NC
WV vs Pitt: WV unless line is 6 1/2 plus for Pitt
Cornell vs Penn: Cornell
Yale vs Harvord: Harvord
Sienn vs Niagra: Sienna
Rider vs Fairfield: depends on spread
Manhattan vs Iona: Iona
Marist vs Canisuista: Can
Columbia vs Princeton: Princ

Any thoughts Mo?

MOhillbilly 02-12-2010 02:12 PM

id stear way clear of the rider fairfield.

Lono 02-12-2010 02:14 PM

K, will pick up another game or throw an over/under in for the 10th spot.

Hootie 02-12-2010 02:45 PM

well just so you know they don't pay even close to the odds on hitting parlays so it's really just a huge fish bet....

the odds of hitting a 6 teamer is just so low...but congrats on doing so...

hitting a 10 teamer is about as likely as getting struck by lightning

Lono 02-12-2010 02:47 PM

Maybe so, but I'm not betting big money. I'm just doing it for fun and the thrill. I got payed 48-1 last night for my 6 teamer.

I won a 20:1 5 team parlay when I was drunk as shit one night and turned $40 into $800...

I swept the first four afternoon games and all I needed was over 49 on the Pats/Skins in 2007...

the Pats were winning 49-0 late in the 4th (and a push equals a loss with the bookie these parlays went through) and of course the Pats rub it in with another Brady TD which won me the parlay...

Apparently that guy just makes a killing every week hosting those parlays through the bar...

That's the only time I ever won a parlay.

Hootie 02-12-2010 02:51 PM

and my college hoops guy loves Rider +1 tonight FYI

Lono 02-12-2010 02:53 PM

Yeah, not having a push on ties, is killer. I don't like those bets.

I can't make myself put that much on the line lol. Start with $150 at the beginning of the year and once its gone, I'm done.

Hootie 02-12-2010 02:56 PM

my roommate was the bartender at the bar that did these parlays so every Wednesday I'd go up there and we'd fill out a few parlays, get drunk, and put a couple bucks on each one.

For some reason we were super drunk that night and decided to each put down $20...

But usually we put $5 a piece on one or two parlays every week...

There were old guys in that place I'd talk to on Sundays that had been doing it for years and they had never won a single parlay.

If you want to be a bookie, there's your cash cow.

Lono 02-12-2010 02:56 PM

Aww man, you have a guy? My guy told me to go for UNLV the other night. I lost. lol

Hootie 02-12-2010 02:57 PM

yeah I follow him on twitter...

RickJsportsplays

he's been money on college bball games this year...

I bet on what he's betting...

I'm up 11 or 12 units with the guy and I only bet once or twice a week

Lono 02-12-2010 03:01 PM

I may have to check him out. Guess I need a twitter account for that?

Hootie 02-12-2010 03:04 PM

http://rickjshandicappingpicks.blogspot.com/

that's his blog

Hootie 02-12-2010 03:06 PM

oh and I just read about that Rider bet and apparently he's hedging his Fairfield bet and just paying the juice so I'd steer clear on that =)

Hootie 02-12-2010 03:07 PM

he's 86-50-3 this year...pretty good

Mr. Flopnuts 02-12-2010 09:01 PM

I think it's almost impossible to hit on anything over a 4 team parlay. I can nail 3 and 4 team MLB parlays and win over half the time. Over that though, and shit happens. I plan on making a few thousand bucks this year on baseball. I'll let you know how it goes. :D

Lono 02-15-2010 08:30 AM

I was even through the weekend until last nights all star game. Had the east -2 1/2 and the ovr. I was not happy by that finish.

Lono 02-17-2010 09:28 AM

TMD your boy Rick hit on his Hofstra -3 last night. I made enough for my plane ticket to vegas. Go Jackson State and Furman!

Yeah I blindly bet with that guy without even doing any research...any time a guy has those kind of numbers you might as well ride him out for the season.

Lono 03-05-2010 02:46 PM

What do you all think about Kent State +3 and the over at 134, st johns -3? That's my 3 team parlay for tonight.

chiefscafan 03-23-2010 08:41 PM
