Would you trade 2b or 3 for A.Cromartie?

Word on the street is that the Chargers are currently shopping Cro for either a RB or draft picks. The latest rumor has Cro going to Dallas for one of there 3 backs.

I wonder what the Chargers would take for him in terms of picks? Would 2b be worth giving up for him? Or what about a rnd 3 pick. I really have no idea what a player of his caliber is worth.

The Franchise 02-17-2010 11:54 AM

Ehhh.....not really. He'll go to Dallas for sure.

Marco Polo 02-17-2010 11:56 AM

No thank you. I'd maybe give them a late round pick next year based on performance.

Buck 02-17-2010 11:56 AM

I would be surprised if we got a 5th for him.

milkman 02-17-2010 12:02 PM

Yeah.....no.

CanadianChief 02-17-2010 12:45 PM

Not after his facebook fails!!!

Brock 02-17-2010 12:50 PM

He isn't good.

Tango&Cash 02-17-2010 01:02 PM

3rd rounder maybe, def take him with one of our 5th's

doomy3 02-17-2010 01:03 PM

We should trade Tamba Hali for him

/Mecca

BigCatDaddy 02-17-2010 01:26 PM

Wasn't he the Sanchez/Berry of the board like 5 years ago?

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-17-2010 01:52 PM

Not w/ his hip problem.

wild1 02-17-2010 02:16 PM

I would rather get someone who is good, and at more of a position of need, if we are going to trade picks.

kinda was "sanchez"ish because of his lack of experience

he missed all of his junior year because of a knee injury and then came out.

cromartie still started 2 years though, more than Sanchez

Berry played 2 years and then came out but didn't have the injury issue.

Hootie 02-17-2010 02:32 PM

No.

Right, I was just referring to love fest for drafting the guy on this board.

honestly i don't remember, sorry.

Mecca 02-17-2010 02:58 PM

Cromartie is an athletic freak who likes to gamble, without a pass rush he'd get beat pretty consistently.

Ehh, it was mainly Mecca.

"Cromatie's going to be one of the best players out of this draft class. I'd take him over Hali in a heartbeat. "

I'd still take him over Hali, him and Kiwanuka were the 2 guys I liked the most.

I wouldn't, but 1 out of 2 isn't bad if you wanted Kiwanuka.

Manny Lawson was all the crazy to my us Chief fans. I remember Gun ripping him after the draft, saying he didn't want him because Big Willie Roaf would be knocking his Dick into the dirt all day; or something to that effect.

ya know, I can't speak for laz, but from conversations with other people (when your name has come up), you put people off with your know-it-all attitude (which is alright in small doses, but yours tends to be over the top) and the fact that you say goofy shit like this:

Would you rather discuss how Laz said he'd rather the Chiefs suck than draft anyone from USC?

I have to agree with this bro. It's in your approach.

ROFL @ "I'm good at the draft."

Awesome.

it absolutely is his approach (i assume your are talking to the ghost named mecca. :) )

He is absolutely, unequivocally 100% right and everyone else is a dumbass until of course he turns out to be wrong then it's "well being right in the draft 60% of the time is good"

well dammit ... then act like you know that you are only 60% right to start with and that someone else might just have a valid opinion and most of these hostilities wouldn't exist.

what makes even worse is that a bunch of people have followed his example so we have a whole "group" of arrogant assholes who never think they are wrong.

fairly or unfairly mecca gets blamed for the hostile attitude of the people that "follow him"

Brock 02-17-2010 04:03 PM

"Kawika Mitchell will get 30 million dollars in FA".

BigCatDaddy 02-17-2010 04:03 PM

And they guy could really be a huge asset to the board with all his knowledge of college football players if he didn't take himself so seriously. When making an arguement you have to concede that you could be wrong and there is another side to the arguement. Everything is not absolute and black and white. Instead of having the philosphy of judging people on their intelligence level, I think a switch to judging people on how they treat others would be good for the dude.

I don't think Mecca has been anything even remotely resembling sanctimonious or a know it all for a long time now. He's actually been one of the more laid back and mellow draft junkies, at least for the past couple of seasons.

That's just because you are comparing him to Hamas. He makes an alive and kicking Sam Kinision look mellow.

I agree here. It's guys like Hamas, Milkman, and Dane (to a lesser extent) who are just insufferable. Then you get the billays and the DCSs of the world who follow them around like groupies that make it even worse.

No thanks on Cromartie. The Chiefs need to spend their picks on other positions of need.
