Amazing first day of free agency for Clark's Chiefs
Have the Chiefs even scheduled a free agent visit yet?
Talk about a boring, lifeless franchise. Yes I'm sure we'll hear all the Clark Hunt defenders rush to his defense... the "no need to panic it is only the first day of free agency, the Chiefs will be active later in free agency" crowd will be out in full force to defend their Dear Leader. Let's just save the suspense and accept the fact the Chiefs will do nothing in free agency, draft a shitty draft class that will have virtually zero impact next season, lose all of their preseason games and win 4-5 games next year. Along the way we'll get a few puff piece articles from the KC Star about how the Chiefs coaching staff shares a close bond, how Todd Haley will be a vastly improved head coach next year, blah blah blah. This is the Chiefs way under Clark Hunt... the same shit over and over again. |
Awesome.

oh shut the hell up dummy
|
But it was rumored the Chiefs were targeting Sproles and last year before free agency Pioli took a piss in the urinal next to Haynesworth.

Pulling the plug a bit early.
|
It would have atleast been nice to have signed Burleson.
|
Hard to disagree with you at this point. The Chiefs brass will need to have the draft of the century for fans not to completely turn on the franchise if it hasn't happened already.
The problem now is that most of the free agents that would have come in and both filled a need and make a big impact are gone, and anyone that is drafted this year, won't have a big impact for another 2-3 years...It's tough to snare FA's when your a botto m dweller. Posted via Mobile Device |

There's a great army of Clark Hunt defenders.
Somewhere. I think. Maybe. |
Maybe Clark Hunt should try flying an airplane sometime and he'll be lucky enough to sit next to an adult film star who will in turn schmooze her way into talking all the over-aged, washed-up veterans to sign a FA contract with us. For her reward, she'll get front-row seats to the NIT tournament to watch MU lose to Tosh.O University.

If 88 would suck off Vermeil and Saunders in this post it would be his normal pissy posts.

Have patience...
Its only been 40 years since our last Super Bowl. |

Just who should we have signed?

The reality is that it will do little good to overspend in free agency the year before a lock out. To do so would be poor use of resources. Why pay a huge bonus to a guy who may be just sitting in 2011.
I know this isn't what any of the fans want to hear, but the reality is that the Chiefs are a business, and are well away from a Super Bowl. Why blow the money this year? If a player ends up sitting a year of a huge contract.... then, the signing bonus was totally wasted. I wouldn't mind seeing the Chiefs sign some guys, but I own a business, and I understand the concept of a budget. |

NFL network just said the chefs are in the Thomas Jones hunt.
Take that for what it's worth. |

He was the final piece! The final piece I say! |
I feel the same way,I mean the chiefs gave up jared allen and now what do we have making the most money on the team...yea Mr almost two years starting! What a impact, think how many more ints flowers whould have with Allen on D.How many times did you count to 3 seconds and the opposing quarterback scrambles or bides time and passes over our Lbs and our safteys are trailing in some manner with out Allen on D. What was the impact of Cassel? He did have a seat and let Brodie prove he may be a good backup.
Dont get me wrong I'm a fan but with the economy and work the last thing I wanna do on usually my only day off is watch my team make dumbass plays and see inferior talent get their ass handed to them 14 to 12 times a year. This team needs to wake the f$$$ up and make me watch a game and not get pissed...no matter how they do it. Dont draft another highly ranked rookie and think turnaround. Clark spend the $ and the fans will be there or watching nfl ticket. If not I think the fanbase could start wearing paper bags. Hell from watching the FA moves Detroit will trade with us next year in the 1st rd to move up!:(:(:(:(:( |
People still cry that we didnt try to top last years offer to Jason Brown that pays him 24 million in hte first two years and 8 million per year.
NE just signed Vince Wilfork to a contract very comparable to the one the Rams gave to Brown at 12am last year. |
repost?
|
I like the idea of maybe getting Suh or McCoy and trading for or signing safety.

Another 3-4 DE in the 1st round? |
The Chiefs have been an open book with the media ever since Pioli got here, I'm as shocked as anyone as to why there aren't rumors flying around and headlines about the Chiefs all over the internet.
|
For a back u the talent availible Yea a DE. Certainly not a backup QB.

Sooner or later, one of them will be worth the pick. |
My advice to everyone, put this pig ****er on ignore.
You want to talk about lifeless? Talk about the University of Miami football program. I wonder if you post over on their message boards. Not likely as 90% of their fanbase is in jail. |
What's the excuse for signing no one last year?
When you have as little talent as the Chiefs do and follow it up with the draft they had you are kind of obligated to make some FA moves unless you are focusing on your 10 year plan. |
who is a pig?

I wonder if Detroit would take Dorsey, DJ and a mid rounder for the #2 pick.
Let us come out of the draft with Suh AND Berry and I would go to heaven. Suh will be a player that impacts playoff games with consistency and will likely win a couple DMVP awards. Man I love the prospects in this draft... |

I mean honestly, if they aren't going to sign FA's, to this point I have 0 confidence they can draft after what I've witnessed.

the draft (which they werent great at) was Dimitroffs job. My hope is that Phil Emery makes a difference. |

I have my doubts as well. Honestly, if we take Baluga or any other LT, I'm completely off the fence. |

I don't think the Chiefs have any interest in drafting Eric Berry.

These ignorant, incompetent, clueless, ugly rat bastards need to sign somebody. Now. Somebody famous. And good. Gooder than what we have. And expensive. Somebody that can make a dang play. Or a touchdown, maybe.

Because berry being a saftey breaks clarks role of paying a safety $. He will let coaches reach on a SAY WHAT pick.:shake:

We're all guessing but I don't remotely believe he'll use a top 5 pick on a safety.

Ah yes, this thread again.

Someone queue up the picture of Chicken Little live from Arrowhead. I need to snag that picture, and I know somebody has it. This is a great thread for it too.
