wowser ...

McCoy falls to 6

taylor goes at 8

tebow at 10

Hughes and Graham out of the 1st

journeyscarab 03-06-2010 04:16 PM

McCoy can and will drop to 6. Unless Chiefs or Redskins bite at him. Oakland always wants the fastest 40 runners and Mays went to USC. Jacksonville needs a backup/replacement for David and needs to sell tickets. Plus Tebow had a strong combine

If it played out that way, trading down would become a very interesting option ... if we could find a trading partner, of course.

true ... but i don't know if you could trade down and not lose Eric Berry.

it would have to be a very short trade 2/3 spots max and even then it's risky.

2nd thought i think Seattle snags berry so i don't think a trade happens unless Okung,Clausen and berry are all gone.

Mr. Laz 03-06-2010 04:26 PM

btw ... terrance cody out of the 1st too.

it this happens the chiefs should be all over trading around in the 2nd for Graham,Cody,Hughes.

hell i would JIMP if we could get all 3 PBJ PBJ

1st - Berry
2a - Graham
2b - (trade up) Cody
2c - Hughes

w00t!!! LMAO

The idea would be to forget about Berry, Mr. Laz. Just forget about him. Instead, we pick up 2 or 3 (possibly 4) more picks in the early rounds this year and next. It would throw the Planet into a severe, and perhaps permanent, apoplectic fit, of course, but if you allow yourself to take the long view and be completely cold-hearted about it, trading down makes some sense for us.

We have a lot of holes to fill. Plus, we lack quality depth at practically every position on the team.

This is a defensive dream we all wish we could have. We might not even have to trade up for Cody. His stock is all over the place.

T-post Tom 03-06-2010 04:57 PM

Berry would be the right choice based on the first four picks.

That would quite possibly be the greatest draft ever, but this is the Chiefs we are talking about.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-06-2010 04:59 PM

I just can't see Tebow going in the 1st round.

Quietest Storm 03-06-2010 05:00 PM

ummm no. But imagination is fun.

Then we can let tight end, fullbacks, H-backs and running backs have career days against us running five yard outs as we'll have no one to cover them defensively.

Now that's the team I know and love.

And we could still stink the place up offensively.
