Sam Bradford Scouting Report
Not quite as glowing:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td colspan="2" align="right">Height: 6-4¼ | Weight: 236 | 40-Time: 4.75 </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" align="Center"> http://www.draftcountdown.com/headsh...ambradford.jpg Official Bio http://www.draftcountdown.com/images/stars/four.gif </td> <td valign="top"> Strengths: Prototypical height with a frame that is still filling out --- Very intelligent with a good feel for the game --- Extremely accurate --- Outstanding touch, timing and anticipation --- Quick delivery --- Consistently throws a pretty spiral --- Decent athleticism --- Nice footwork and moves well within in the pocket --- Shows great ball handling ability --- Makes good decisions and takes care of the ball --- Tough and will stand tall against the rush --- Calm and composed --- Very competitive --- A team leader both on and off of the field --- Excellent work ethic --- Super productive. Weaknesses: Durability is a huge concern --- Just average arm strength --- Mechanics are not textbook and drops down to three-quarters at times --- Will have to adjust to working from under center --- Must learn to read defenses and go through progressions in a pro style offense --- Does not have a good feel for pressure --- Won't make a lot of plays with his feet --- Limited experience --- Stats were inflated by a spread system. Notes: Was basically just a two-year starter for the Sooners --- Father, Kent, was an offensive lineman at Oklahoma in the late-1970's --- Citizen of the Cherokee tribe --- Won the Heisman Trophy, Davey O'Brien Award and Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2008 --- Earned 1st Team All-American Honors in 2008 --- Was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and also took home 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2008 --- Led the Sooners to back-to-back Big 12 titles ('07 & '08) and an appearance in the BCS Championship game ('08) --- Set a number of NCAA and school records despite starting just 31 career games in college --- Would most likely have competed with Matthew Stafford to be the #1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft but opted to return to school for another year of development --- Sprained the AC joint in his right (throwing) shoulder in the 2009 season opener --- Tried to come back after missing a couple of games but was reinjured and eventually underwent season-ending surgery in late-October that was performed by the renowned Dr. James Andrews --- Certainly has plenty of positive traits to get excited about but there are also a lot of unknowns and major question marks, including: 1) How will his arm respond after being surgically repaired? 2) Can his body hold up to the pounding it will have to endure at the next level? 3) Will he be able to adapt to a pro style offense or was he simply a product of Oklahoma's system that enabled other quarterbacks like Josh Heupel, Nate Hybl and Jason White to put up huge numbers as well? --- A highly-decorated, prolific signal caller with adequate physical tools and first-rate intangibles --- Could very easily emerge as a successful starter in the NFL but there are also serveral ominous warning signs that indicate a considerable bust factor. </td></tr></tbody></table> |
Basically he's a spread QB, is how that reads.

Still want to see him drafted by the Redskins.
|
Rams Fan here. In St. Louis, it seems like Bradford will be the pick if he shows that he's healthy.

Seriously, though. They signed Feely and it doesn't seem like Bulger will be back. |
A darkhorse pick may even be Clausen, if Bradford isn't healthy and they don't like Suh or McCoy.

We know, no preaching here. Most figured it would be a QB anyways.
|
They resigned a TE they like, Fells. If Bradford isn't the pick and they want a starting QB, they may trade the 2nd Round pick for Vick.:shake:
|
I want Suh to be the pick but I doubt he will be. And Chiefs fans, you have a bright future with Charles, Chambers and Bowe.
|
**** you and your positive attitude!

The regime in KC seems like it has a good future. What do you think about the Rams future?

STFU We have a pretty good RB. How was the Dorsey and Jackson pick?/ROFL |
Dorsey is fine, our jackass GM switching to the 3-4 was stupid as hell.
|
Quote:
Maybe. Spagnuolo has the foundation down but the question is will Devaney make the right pick? |
Quote:
|
We have a few busts. Carriker maybe a bust but Hill was, he's gone, we have no great WR.
|
Quote:
Dorsey was NOT the best player in the draft. Long was.:cuss: |

jake or chris? If you say Chris, Im gonna laugh because he wasnt even the best Chris (Johnson) and if you say Jake, Im gonna just assume you're a fool. poted via ****ing around with the nOOb device |

PS: How do you make a custom avatar? |
Quote:
or just donate it to the site and Ill play ball... |
Quote:
Dumb question. What is casino cash? Do I donate that? |
no, real $$$$...hit the green donate icon toward the top of the screen and donate $5 or more and we will assist you to no end.
Welcome to America J/K just go to user CP and follow it for edit avatar |

Spags will be a good coach, no question but Devaney may turn out to be a good GM. |
We'll see. They seem to like Bradford a lot, along with a lot of other scouts. I don't see it outside of the fact he's a "nice guy, can be a leader" along with playing in a Sooners system that has done a good job inflating random QBs stats.
|
I still don't know how to make a custom avatar. Anyways, the Rams and Chiefs will be good within the next 1-3 years.
|
Do you have a pic that you want to have as your avatar?
If yes, go to userCP at the top of the screen and then go to edit avatar on the right side and go to the bottom and select browse and select the pic from your computer and then click save changes and there you are. I suggest something that isnt personal. This place can get nasty if you joust with the wrong cracka.... you can owe me |

I went to UserCP. I keep on getting to the avatar screen but I can't find the browse option. |
there are three boxes on that screen, your current avatar, predefined standard avatars and custom avatar. In the third box "custom avatar" is where you want to look, click use custom avatar and in that box are 2 options, one is to enter the url for the pic and the second is to upload from your computer and has a grey box labeled "browse" hit that and select your pic and hit upload.
then hit save changes at the bottom of the screen and you should be good to go (except for donating $5 minimum to the site ROFL) Now, the first thing you should do is seek out a poster named Dane McCloud and start a argument with him and don't back down, no matter what...when you feel that you have finished there seek out a poster by the name of Hamas Jenkins, you should take an opposing stance with him on whatever he is saying and fight to the death...after that you should go ahead and start a new thread or two that cover stuff that you have just read here on CP...that will get you a lot of brownie points with the veteran members around here and will buy you some street cred of sorts. Good luck nOOb, if you need further tips I will always be here to help just shoot me a PM! |

Heres a little something for the dumbass on the go...
|
The pic is so tiny... the photo of Jimmy the Hand Model engulfs it, and seeing that he's got hands no bigger than a dwarf squirrel, that's saying something.
|
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning came to mind reading that evaluation.

Tall, intelligent, accurate, stands tall in the pocket, good leader, not great but good enough arm.....
|
Quote:
Serious durability concerns Ominous warning signs. Considerable bust potential Doesn't know how to read a defense or go through progressions Needs to learn to work from under center. Reads exactly like Peyton Manning's scouting report to me |
I still think he's better than Clausen and if he were miraculously there at five I wouldn't mind at all if the chiefs took him. IMO, Clausen is a bigger gamble.

But anyways with so many questions marks one would think you would take me up on my offer and get rid of me forever. Especially considering the amazing season you claim Sanchez had last year. |

The more and more I look at this year's QB class and next year's, I like next year's over this year's.
|
To be honest, I like Jake Locker a lot. If there wasnt a Weis connection, I would likely be saying it would be better to wait till next year and draft mostly defense (save one possesion/slot receiver and a couple OL) this year
But Jake Locker didnt play our offense for three years in college and have an equal amount of experience being coached to be Charlies guy. Even without the Weis connection, I think Clausen is a better prospect than the other QBs (save Locker) coming out next year...JMO |
I'm not a Locker guy personally.
|
Quote:
If Locker came out and skipped his Senior season, he'd be the #1 overall pick. |
Quote:
That exact thought is why the Rams are drafting #2 overall, again. |

Quote:
E: nvm, I seem to be in last years draft mode for some reason lol. Going from 2 to 2 to 1 just makes a stronger point, etc. |
Quote:
And makes me feel even worse about this year. How good is Jamal Charles? |

|
Quote:
Sounds like S. Jackson accept smaller and not a big RB. I don't get the Jones signing then. |

Bradford named offensive rookie of the year!

Hamas had such a great 2010

I'm not putting Sam in the hall just yet either, but a SB and some great career passing numbers look very possible. I've said it before he was drafted and I'll say it again. IF he fulfills his potential I'm seeing Kurt Warner (The good version). |
