New Bowl Game(Big XII)
Yankee Stadium to host first Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 30 - NCAA Football - SI.com
The first Pinstripe Bowl will be played at Yankee Stadium on Dec. 30 and will be televised by ESPN. The game will include the No. 3 team in the Big East and the No. 6 school in the Big 12, excluding Bowl Championship Series participants. |
So does this mean one more team than last year in the Big12 gets to go to a Bowl game?
|
This is the most reeruned thing ever. Who the hell is going to travel from the midwest to freeze their asses off in Yankee Stadium in the middle of winter?

This is going to replace the Big XII's slots in the Sun/Gator Bowl rotation.

Jesus Christ, the Pinstripe Bowl? The Yankee$ polluting MLB wasn't enough, so now they're branching out to NCAA football?

TV so often, the cameraman must have been in love with them. |
First of all. No one is going to want to watch the 6th place team in the Big12. There are just too many bowl games to begin with. 6 games pretty much guarantees you a bowl and to me that's not enough. I think it should be 9 games. If you play a shitty non con sched like many teams do, they're 4-0 coming into the conf season, then they only have to win, what 2 games in conf??? That's dumb. Secondly, no one is going to want to travel to NYC to and outdoor stadium to freeze their asses off to, once again, watch the 6th place Big12 team play a Big East team that pretty much has homefield advantage, being the location/region of the conference.
Just an overall horrible idea. |

with the wind coming in off the ocean causing the ball to float, look for the coin toss being really important
