Subject to blackout rules :(

Toadkiller 03-16-2010 10:00 AM

Yeah that is MLB for you but for me living in Portland and being able to watch the Royals and not pay the 100 bucks to do so this is awesome!

Kyle DeLexus 03-16-2010 10:07 AM

Can I put my zip as some other city and get Royals games?

They do it by IP address.

Link on how to get around the blockout. Look in the comments, sometimes takes a few different proxy servers to work.

Looks like it is dead now. I am streaming my first game and it working great.

cookster50 03-16-2010 11:05 AM

Dang, wish I'd seen this earlier, deal is dead(just like the Royals season, bada bing!)

Old Dog 03-16-2010 11:08 AM

It shows the one month subscription as ending at the end of October...you sure it's dead?

Toadkiller 03-16-2010 11:10 AM

Well people on slickdeals reporting it dead, I got it earlier so I am not sure. One person from slickdeals:
I thought it was dead too when i came to the "Premium Yearly Subscription is no longer available.
" page but I continued to refresh the page and it put me through. Weird. It charged my card and I was able to log in and watch.

pr_capone 03-16-2010 12:09 PM

trying to do it now and it is not giving me that $20 price :(

Pitt Gorilla 03-16-2010 01:08 PM

I looked into it this morning. Blackout rules make it a no go for me.

BigRedChief 03-16-2010 01:09 PM

I got this last year to watch my Cardinal games on the laptop.

teedubya 03-16-2010 01:33 PM

I have the Android MLB app, this is pretty sweet.

Kyle DeLexus 03-16-2010 10:25 PM

Yearly subscription expires 2/28/2011 ... Monthly subscription expires October 2010

Anyone know if thats legit? You pay for a month and you get it until october or your on a auto pay thing and it stops billing you when you call or October?

When I have used it in the past monthly is autopay until the end of the season unless you call and cancel. I have only done the during the playoff stretch but I have heard it can be a bit of a pain to cancel.

I can't confirm but yearly ending 2/28/11 sounds legit. There is a lot of cool classic archive material on there and you can pretty much pull up any previous game during the season.

kcxiv 03-17-2010 01:18 AM

hehe, i get it, i also get the app on my ipod touch to watch games. ITs really damned cool. Games are streamed in HD and look really good. Will get it again this year.

Rausch 03-17-2010 03:54 AM

Wouldn't watch it for free...

That's normal. MLB on Direct TV does it too.

Infidel Goat 03-17-2010 08:20 AM

I read on a different forum that it was a price mistake, and that MLB.com was voiding the deals.

Toadkiller 03-17-2010 08:33 AM

You can read the slickdeals forum. The one person who said he was canceled was never verified and all the rest of the people who signed up still have access, including me. So far nothing has been said about a price mistake or cancellations by mlb

L.A. Chieffan 03-17-2010 09:30 AM
