Round 2 sucked ass
That is all
|
BCarr39: Just remember: there is a method to the madness. When the dust settles, you'll see ;)
|
not sure this is the "area of need" i wanted addressed with the gonzo pick...argh.
|
they don't even have anything to say about Javier Arenas
I'm just going to get super duper high and laugh at this |
FML
|
Well Emmitt will have a shit ton of talent to work with.
|
What is this?
Midget day? |
I had no problem with the Mccluster pick unlike some but this one is a head scratcher. He appears to be a good player but CB doesn't make sense when we need a NT and LB's or even some Oline.
|
Tim Tebow > Javier Arenas
|
Beer.
|
Whatever. Just what ****ing ever.
I'm probably gonna watch them **** up these next five picks and then emotionally check out. |
The Arenas pick was absurdly awful. Unbelievable that we took him over so many other areas of need.
Guess we'll wait and get a NT, pass rushing OLB, ILB next year? |

A Football team for ANTS? |
Just handed in my fan card guys
|
I like the McCluster pick, but I don't know who the hell this Arenas guy is.
|
They should of went with Cody or Lee.
|
Im ashamed ... NT LB ... needed ... maybe FA are the Patriotway ......
|
Arenas is a slow corner who is too small to match up with WRs and too short to effectively cover them.
He's a nickel CB/ KR only. It's obvious that Pioli thinks he has the starters for this team in place, because he sure as **** isn't drafting any. |
Glad they didn't take Cody.
Special teams tryouts are going to be ridiculous. |
We took a slot WR and a nickel CB that are both midgets and return kicks...
Someone needs to inform Pioli that we are a shitty team that needs a core, not a good team looking for complimentary players. |

They gotta get at least 1 ****ing lber in this draft. And I sure as hope its round 3.

yeah thought we had a preetty danm good secondary
now linebackers , eh maybe a center or tackle I dunno need some convincing on this one convert to wr? |

With McCluster and Arenas together on punt and kick returns, we will cause nightmares for special teams coordinators throughout the NFL!!!

It's ok we will be drafting 1-5 again next year and the "genius" will show you all how smart and cute he is... We have a buffoon once again at GM..Thanks for 40 years of poking my eyeball with sharp objects Chiefs. |
don't shoot the messenger (i'm not thrilled with the pick):
@MrMichael_Smith Great picks by the Chiefs and then the Niners. Arenas is another guy who can change the scoreboard for KC. |
And just why did we trade TG again? :shake:
|
A team with gaping holes at multiple starting positions on the roster... with two high second round draft picks in one of the deepest second rounds in recent memory... ends up with a slot WR/return guy and a nickle DB/return guy, two non-starters.
Only the Chiefs. |

Those are some weird ****ing picks and that was a hugely disappointing round. Talk about sucking the life out of the fans. |

And even if thats the case, its inconceivable to know they blew 2 2nd rounders on special teamers when they could've nabbed starters. Yay to that! I'll give them a pass on McCluster because he will bring something to the team, but Arenas? fuck no...there is way better talent available. No excuses. |

The Chiefs are so good that they can draft backups instead of starters in the 2nd Round!!!!!!

We argue all the time on this board about picking for need or BPA? Our two 2nd rounders do not meet either criteria!!!!! What a waste of what could have been an exciting 2nd round!!! I wish we had never traded Gonzalez.
|
Great Javier Arenas is Gilbert Arenas cousin. No guns in the locker room please.
|
Scott Pioli makes me long for the days of Jack Steadman.
|
Can someone ask pioli why he thinks we didn't need to take starters in the 2nd round?

SIGH!!!! |
These are bad picks, simply put.

He can't GTFO of KC fast enough for my liking. Executive of the year or whatever the hell he was MY ASS!!!!! |
I'm shocked at how negative everyone is being about these two 2nd round picks. We added a ton of speed with these first 3 picks (which I thought was a weakness last year). Berry is going to be a stud, McCluster has the potential to be Darren Sproles 2.0, and Arenas adds depth to the CB position and is also the best return man in this draft. Sure, one of these guys might not pan out, but to me it looks like we added a lot of speed and players that will help out this team next year.

Great, we'll have a lot of speed on the bench. |
Baltimore took both 2nd rounders that we should have taken.
|
McCluster was a very good pick.
Arenas brings some things we need to the table, particularly as a returner, but we reached for where he should've went. |
Quote:
Ahh I see... You are taking 40 times as gospel huh? Try watching a game and you see he has game speed. |
36. Dexter McCluster, RB/WR/KR, Ole Miss
Dexter McCluster is a luxury pick. If some team with few needs wanted to take him in Round 2, that would have been fine. The Chiefs don't have that luxury because of all of their primary needs. (Pick Grade: C) 50. Javier Arenas, CB/KR, Alabama The Chiefs just drafted a nickel corner and kick returner when they still have issues with quarterback protection and pass rush. Not a good weekend to be a Chiefs fan. (Pick Grade: C) Walter Football |

I don't know what the hell they were thinking drafting Arenas. He is a good player but not what we need for sure. |

I feel sorry for Eric Berry. He deserved, and earned, the chance to play for a quality team, and not a joke like KC.
These two picks are horrible. I guess Weis doesn't give 2 big pinched loaves about his ex-players, and I guess Pioli doesn't believe in drafting potential full time starters. I hope we go 0-8 and Clark fires everyone midseason. |

I find it funny that we get rid of Herm and we are drafting more DB's under Haley than the DB himself Herm ( Can be referred to as Defensive back or Douchebag whichever you prefer ) |

When Chiefnj is reacting this way, you know the picks are bad.

What is up with you guys melting down like this? Did you forget that the Chiefs got a future star in Eric Berry? You are acting like the world is coming to an end because the Chiefs made a bit of a reach for McCluster and Arenas. At least we aren't Jacksonville and took a 2nd round guy with the 10th pick.
Quit whining so much! |
Quote:
|
you could have walked through the 2nd round blindfolded and come out with 2 full time starters
we got a midget rb that will have to be taught to be a slot wr and a midget nickle corner in terms of value, that is a holocaust and we still have no run stopper or pass rusher |
Quote:
And over 200 yards on the ground per game. New FF rule start any RB playing the Chiefs. |
