Clady injured his patellar tendon
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...172459&id=4616
Two NFL sources tell the Denver Post that Broncos LT Ryan Clady has injured his patellar tendon in a non-football-related incident. A patellar tendon tear in late April would certainly jeopardize Clady's availability for the start of the season, though the severity is unknown at this time. Denver's top backup at left tackle is presumably usual starting right tackle Ryan Clady, who is also less than 100 percent due to toe surgery. The Broncos did draft Utah left tackle Zane Beadles in the second round over the weekend, though his best NFL position is at guard or right tackle. |
LOL WTF?
Clady has been busy these days starting at two line positions. Hali just got another sack on him. Wonder which one he got it on? |
kisses fingers and points to the sky
|
Didn't center Ryan Clady play some tackle in college?

Here's a response from Baja of the Mane: "If we start Tebow do we even need an offensive line?" |
Where is know-shit? He should be telling us that this is misdirection by McDumbass to make the new draftee get playing time, but Clady will be back in time for a playoff run.

Ryan, that single set of footprints you see to the buffet line, was when I carried you.
Tebow |
The good news is Clady is only 23 years old and Denver has some of the best physical therapy people in the NFL. He should be ready to start the season.

Patellar tendons can be damaging injuries. If its bad, he could miss quite a few games. Rush him back, he could do more damage that can cause long term affects. |

I wonder how he did it. I bet he was doing offseason training by clipping old women in grocery store parking lots.

Harris will be on the left side, Beadles on the right, although, I wouldn't be surprised to see Beadles get a shot at left tackle depending upon the time frame in which Clady can return. Beadles is more of a power blocker than Clady and might actually be a better fit for the type of offense that McDaniels is currently running, which is a hybrid zone power set. It's similar to the offense that Beadles played left tackle for at Utah where he was an All-American, Walter Camp and first team All Conference.
Clady was a perfect fit for the zone block scheme that Shanahan employed, but I wondered if he was going to have the same level of success under the scheme that McDaniels was going to use. Beadles could have the same type of success as a rookie that Clady had. It really all comes down to the type of system as it relates to the type of player. I give McDaniels credit for at least doing the research and drafting guys who will fit his system better. (I also think that Pioli and Haley did a much better job of that this year in the draft than they did in '09. Time will tell, but it looks like the Chiefs got guys who will be able to contribute right away. I also think Jackson will end up as a good player, especially if he can get some decent NT production next to him, but other than him and Succop, I wasn't thrilled about the '09 draft.) |

He will be the next guy McDaniels runs out of town.

Injection of cortisone before playing will do wonders.

This is the day the Tibow has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
|
Tendon peoblem for a lineman? Not a question of if but of when. They'll medically manage it for as long as possible then replace him.
|
Its no wonder Hali got by Clady. I mean when you have to play both tackle spots its a tough blocking assignment.
|
Ouch

Shanny should have taken Berry (I can say that now) he could have probably had Clady (his guy) for next years first or less at this point.
(this post is an exaggeration trolling for a response from the biggest homer I have seen) (there is a hidden message in this post) |
Enh, we'll just put Tebow in at LT and he can 'use the force' to keep the blindside clean for Orton.

So Clady's a doctor now?
I'm surprised he didn't tear it when Tamba Hali made him a human ****ing merry go round. |
Clady already had his surgery I'd imagine that is what the doctor told him.

8 weeks + another 4 for rehab... so, 3 months is about right... the MAIN problem will be for him to stay in shape during that time... not easy to do at all.
I expect him to spend most of training camp trying to shed weight and get himself in shape for the season... doubt this will affect him much if he can be disciplined about it. |

Broncos | More on Ryan Clady's injury Comment (0) Wed, 28 Apr 2010 14:13:09 -0400 Updating an ongoing story, Denver Broncos OT Ryan Clady (knee) suffered a torn patella tendon while playing basketball, reports Adam Schefter, of ESPN. Clady has told people he will three months. This is not good for Clady , a 300 pound OT cannot have hopes for an effective career after this type of injury. The knees will undergo to much stress. I feel for Clady! But I'm happy as **** he's a donkey!!!!! |
He'll be ready by training camp. It's mild according to him.
|
Did it playing basket ball. basketball is gay. STOP IT!!!
|
I heard he was going in for a layup and Percy Snow ran him over with a moped.
|
|
Why does Clady get the karma bill
for the Rat's chop blocking scheme?????????? |

I've had two friends that played D1 football and basketball respectively, injure their patellar, and neither were ever the same after it. They just couldn't get the same drive or push off that they once had. Mobility really suffers. That's too bad for Clady as he had a lot of potential. It could definitely derail his career.

wow this thread.....LMAO
|
I tore my patellar tendon a few years ago and had part of it removed in a surgery. It was very sore for over a year. If its' the same for him, he'll have trouble squatting, bending and the strength in that leg won't be right for a long time.
If its' like mine, it'll never be the same again, though I'm sure he's got top notch rehab assistance that I didn't. |

Clady is an offensive lineman not a WR, this injury will not hinder him at all. Mark Schlereth had dozens of surgeries on his knees and sometimes he would play in games just a week after them.
