I really love this series. For iGN to give that type of review means that this game must be off the charts.

I should have had it today, but ya for the us postal service for not getting it to me. Everytime 2k has sent me a game i get it overnight as i am really close to the 2K offices. well less then 2 hours by car. So now i have to wait until Monday. I wanted to start this shit up!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to cave in and get this. Never been big on basketball games but the good reviews and being pumped about my Thunder season tickets has pushed me over the edge.

Ea Canceled Elite. They say its delayed, but i dont think they will release it. Almost makes no sense.

I was interested in Elite but they pushed it back to March. If EA delays a sports game like that it has to be majorly ****ed up.

That was my thought. It makes no sense to put it out that far in to basketball season.

This was the whole focus EA had going into the 2011 game for NBA. 2010 didnt sell well, but Mike Wang had the game getting positive reviews and the sim gamers were liking it. Well, due to the game not selling well. They scrapped it and the Developer MIke Wang said i am not with this and called 2K and said, can i get my old job back, these dudes are ****ing up. Well, 2K said sure because they liked the dude.

So EA basically said. Since we cant take 2K's basketball fans, we will try to go in a new direction (hired the main boss of the NHL series) and said we can just tap into our Fifa and NHL fans and make the game more casual. Well, the game was really bad and not even ready for that. So the Suits said we have to pull this game, it will get terribly killed by the reviewers and fans. So they delayed it.

NBA Live used to be fun, havent played a ps3 version of it....saw the commercial for 2k with MJ got me interested. Never had an interest in 2k games really but this one looks intriguing

Oz, do yourself a favor and get this game. The 2k series is nails when it comes to NBA games.

Nice job by EA ****ing themselves, if they actually decided to make a real effort on their Madden and NFL games they could own. This will **** them, esp with nba2k11 actually coming out on time and a must own game at that, crazy. I rely on IGN reviews, pretty sick review for this game.

I don't like NBA games due to basketball being the least simmable game on the planet but I just might get 2k11. I just sold NCAA football 11 so I might as well try 2k11 out. Can't be a bigger waste of time than NCAA football was.

And they need to remove the heat from online play.

The only recent sports games i've bought are Madden 2010 (epic fail, i played 6 games, regret buying it since, game sucks) and refuse to buy 2011. Last good football game was espn2k5 (ownage) for ps2. Bought MLB 2010 the show, a great buy and a fun baseball game, will buy it every year likely. Haven't played an NBA game since ps 1. I am excited to buy this 2k game esp hearing that EA ****ed up...the graphics looked great on elite but we all know that doesn't mean shit

Been playing it and so far its really ****in awesome. The Jordan mode is incredible as to how much detail they put into it

Only thing i hate about 2k Series now the created players faces looks like shit even when you think you have it right it still looks odd everything else I love about the series

I am hyped about getting this game. I reserved my copy at Gamestop and I am going to play all night tonight except for a little break to watch the Heat vs Pistons on NBA TV.

I also been reading over at OperationSports and those guys absolutely love it.

Because Kush ****ed it up beyond belief and VC has had to try to redo that shit from scratch. Its no coincidence that Kush ****ed up MLB and NHL so 2K closed down that studio. MLB2K10 isnt a bad game, its not to where it needs to be, but its not the debacle 2k7,2k8 and 2K9 was. 2K9 had like a half a year of developmental time with Visual Concepts.

Thats the thing with Sports games, they only have 1 year to try to fix a game if its been ****ed off. Its why i dont understand why EA went away from what they were doing to NBA Live 10. They had a great foundation. Makes 0 sense.

I used to play mvp all the time on the pc i think they hardly mod it anymore

2k coming back to football would be good for madden also. It would make EA actually get off their ass and make a game with substance. When does the exclusivity run out? After madden 12?

ya, i think after 2012 or 2013, but ncaa license runs out right after the last bowl game is played.

I can't post up to save my life in this game.

you have to hit the LT and RT, but you cant be moving at full speed and he will go into the post up animation.

Practice mode is your friend, i been playing it a bit and learning because this game has a nice learning curve to it.

So is this game better than College Basketball 2k8?

They'll always have a problem because people with 360's just want the show basically.

Also somehow EA fixed NHL and Fifa.

To be fair, FIFA was never broken. It's been a steady improvement process since 1998 (I don't count '96 and '97).

P.S. FIFA 2007 has the best soundtrack of anything ever, IMO.

Last night I had to decide between NBA 2k11 and NHL 11 and I went with NHL 11. I may buy 2k11 in the future.

People want a good game. They dont care if its EA,2K, Konami,Activions, Sony, Microsoft or ****ing McDonalds. They want a good game to play. People dont care who makes them.

Make a good game, it will sell and people will praise it. Hell, the last few years that Operation Sports has done their greatest sports games of all time it has been NFL2K5 as the King and CH2K8 coming in 2nd.

Yes, its the best basketball game ever made and some people will even say best sports game ever made. 2nd part is subjective, the better then CH2K8 isnt, because it does everything that 2k8 did good and made it hell of alot better.

Like I said...I don't like NBA games, but I'm going to find someway to get this game. I'm not paying full price for it though. I haven't paid $50+ for a game since Madden 08. Shit, I got NCAA 2011 for $29.99 about a week after it came out.

No way I'll spend $60 on 2k11 no matter how Godly it is. But I'll get it somehow.

This is the best basketball game ever IMO and one of the best sports games made...period. It deserves to be on the "Mount Rushmore of sports games" IMO.

The amount of depth in this game is staggering...I wasn't huge on all the Jordan stuff but it's actually quite enjoyable and the amount of detail put into all the old school teams, players, etc. is ridiculous and awesome. The classic teams are sick.

Gameplay is spot on...love seeing teams actually have identities, play differently, and play like they do in real life. Also like seeing the difference between players, superstars play like superstars and again they play like their real life counterparts.

So glad I picked this game up and I can see myself playing this for a very long time.

Every other sports videogame franchise has been put on alert...2k stepped up HUGE with this game, everyone else will have to step up now.

Might just have to pick this up...

Also rumors today are that 2k have contacted the NFL about getting back in on the licensing for the 2013 season...

This game is awesome. Definately recommend picking it up. I can't stop playing it and I have never been huge on basketball games. It's challenging but I like that. Just starting to get the moves down and really enjoying it.

he breaks it down and tell you, what you are doing wrong.

2k needs to work on the transition and facial animations. It kind of takes you out of the experience when the camera zooms in on a player after a made basket or timeout and he's jittering around like he's possessed.

That's probably my one nitpick. Everything else is fantastic. Close games in the 4th quarter are freaking intense like they should be.

Started an Association with the Hawks last night...created myself at the 2 Guard. I don't cheese or make an uber CAP, just like having myself in the game lol. Anyways, shifted Joe Johnson down to the 3 spot and I like my lineup a lot...tons of athleticism and length.

First game is in Memphis and I squeak by 85-84...hit a 3 with my CAP with about 3.5 secs left which won it. It was a cool game because I trailed constantly but it was like Memphis being a young team didn't know how to close it out and I was able to sneak in and grab it. Rudy Gay absolutely obliterated me though...he went for 35. Marc Gasol was a terror on the boards as well.

Love the way my team is shaping up though, Al Horford commands the lane. He was blocking shots, getting rebounds, and forcing misdirections from anyone who came in the lane...he's going to be huge for me if I'm going to have any success.

Thinking about shopping for a PG, don't know how much I trust Bibby.

Wow, after playing with my shitty Level 44 overall My Player, playing with Jordan is ****ing easy. These challenges should be no problem.

Like in My player the constant picking the ball up bs everytime someone touches you and I think they should adjust the Jordan challenges to 10-12 minutes/ quarter.

Yes, you can play him in the game. It has i think all the Bull's championship teams, plus the 86 Bulls. You can put him on any team but, you first have to beat the Jordan Challenge.

Yep and you can add all the old teams to an Association

I'm not sure, but I have been doing a lot of bounce passes. I think maybe if you hold down R2/RT when you pass.
