DeezNutz 06-15-2010 09:54 PM

Gracie Dean 06-15-2010 09:56 PM

no, they said a lot of dignitaries and I believe even Mr Bud would be there.

CaliforniaChief 06-15-2010 09:57 PM

I think the Royals are reaffirming their loyalty to the AL Central.

Dignitaries? KU administrators? Wait, I guess you didn't say "royalty."

The Royals are joining the Big 10.

Honest question here, and it's driving me nuts...

Is this thread (particularly this response) a repost? Because I swear to god that I've seen this before...

At least one MLB team has the balls to give UT the finger.

It's the new answer for everything.

My sources are indicating that the Patriot League is trying to make a late play for the Royals.

alnorth 06-15-2010 10:06 PM

The Royals, Indians, White Sox, and Tigers may make a move to the Big East.

They're building a ferris wheel behind home plate and a Chuck E Cheese in right field. It'll be part of the non-baseball fan experience.

Yes

It's so sad that something like announcing the All Star game will be treated as one of the high points of the organization over the last 20 years.

Sure-Oz 06-15-2010 10:55 PM

I think having all star game is pretty sweet...and something the Royals and the city need.

Agreed. Maybe by 2012 we'll have a couple of All-Stars too.

I dont think we are over-hyping it THAT much. But, frankly it is our turn damn it. We've been passed over often enough, it will have been almost 40 years.

BWillie 06-15-2010 11:20 PM

HOLY CRAP!!! I WILL BE AT THE GAME!!! HISTORICAL EVENT!!

I'm still on my 404 game streak of not actually paying any money out of my own pocket to that franchise though. I was given free tickets from work, and I will park at the Holiday Inn.

I don't have a problem with the city or fans hyping it. I was talking more about the team taking any credit for it. I think it's great for the city.
