But seriously, this is ridiculous. I'm not used to this kind of weather. I can't wait for this thunderstorm that's going to hit tonight. At least that will cool things off a bit. |
Yeah, im sitting in my office chair getting swamp ass. This ****ing sucks.
|

I wore a light jacket to work this morning. It finally got over 60 around noon.
|
Heat is fine. Humidy + Heat is what sucks.

this last week has been very very abnormally humid for Iraq, equals any humid day in MO and the temp has been consistently in the 130s even hit 142 about 5 days ago. Abso-****ing-lutely insane hot, miserable and I'm ready to get the F out of this country..... |
Call me crazy, but I like this hot weather. Keeps the joints limber. Cold beer tastes better.

Hello?
Is it heat you're looking for? |

I wish I could bottle it somehow to fully share the experience. It's 11pm right now, still easily in the 120s, and the wind feels warm on your face. I went outside to smoke and strum on the guitar, I didn't get halfway through the cig before sweat was pouring off my head. Anyway, everyone go back to what you were doing. I'll go back to lurk mode. |

Well, really - The heat is the only thing that I have (that I can share online) to really "boast" about sucking. As to staying safe, I'm doing EVERYTHING I can. Unfortunately it's not all up to what I do here. But I really appreciate the kindness of thoughts. I'm just getting to the point of really really ready to be "normal" again and get home. I know I'm not the only one here or who has been here, so I'm sure they know, and I'm sure it was worse a few years ago. Hats off to them as well. and now I'm rambling, when I said I was going to be silent, anyway..... Hey, things are looking up, we moved from the tents to a more "fortified" position with overhead cover and hardened "chews", AC is better and I am one of the few to get one all to myself. So now I can dance around naked and look at GoChief's pictures to play with myself and bother nobody else. Plus we got two beers on the fourth of july, so that was nice..... |
Rest of Today
Breezy. Mostly sunny with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs around 103. South winds 15 to 25 mph. Heat index readings 112 to 117. |

Hang in there dude, come home safe. |

well shoot, he's lost a LOT of weight, matured (albeit slightly), and actually ventures outside of his basement frequently, if he'd only learn to curb that down syndrome baby smile he has, he'd be a freaking catch! I haven't had much female interaction in a while, so I'm jaded now. but thanks, and look for a tailgate party thread or three upon my return. I do plan on making it a few times to PARTY with everyone who wants to or can, and that would have to include your party RV. Keg tap working this year? Oh and side note, if you still have your seats and know of a game you'll miss in the second half of the season, can I call dibs on buying them from you? |

Sorry that y'all are having bad weather. I was in DC and NYC three weeks ago when it was in the upper 90's with high humidity and it sucked.
Here, today, it is 82° with a light breeze and about 25% humidity. An absolutely perfect summer day. I wish I wasn't stuck inside at work. :banghead: |

I feel sorry for all of ya. Heat kicks my ass and makes me lazy. I don't want to do anything once it hits 90. I'll go hiking when it's 10 degrees out, but stay home over 90.
|
even the dog turds are getting sunburnt today
|
103 here

I missed my chance to bitch about heat last week. It's in the low nineties this week with some T-storms, and it's ALWAYS humid here.
But I took this picture leaving work one day last week: http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a...7101631-01.jpg |
Holy heat stroke batman, it's ****ing terrible up here. We were at 90 % humidity this morning, now it's an unbearable 83% at 88 degrees.

Hell, it even been hot here. I hit 100 yesterday. It's going to hit 88 today and that feels cool. I'm heading to the mountains tomorrow for a little ATV riding and to break in the new S&W 500.

They were not going to do crap until I raised hell. I told them I bought the gun from them last week and how ****ing helpful it would be to be able to shoot it. I also explaned that I was getting ready to head into bear country and explained the advantage of being able to shoot a 500, rather than throwing a ****ing rock, if I got into a jam. After that rant, I think they just wanted to get rid of me and would have done about anything. ;) I'm jacked about being able to rip off a couple of boxes tomorrow and toss some lead. I will do that and then put the double tap rounds back in it, in the event I run inot a bear with an attitude. |
