Tailgating issues
For you all that attended the Eagles game, did any of you have any issues with the parking attendants, in Red parking, trying to tell you that you could not turn your truck around to park?
I am still :cuss: and plan to be talking with someone at 1 arrowhead this week. They told me that there was not enough time for me to swing it around and must pull forward. WHat the hell is the since of not allowing people to swing their trucks around so that they can tailgate.....NOW it is not like we are silling out and the parking lot is slammed with people delaying the parking process! |
I would've done it anyway.

You listened to the parking lot attendants? Nobody listens to those guys. What are they going to do - take you to parking lot jail?

especially payint $20 + to park. they're out of their mind if they think I'm going to be told where to park/how to park.

Ahh, the parking nazis. This is one of the many reasons why my (and my familiy's) season ticket ownership since 1963 will likely end after this season.
<O:p</O:pThe ridiculous and inconsistent enforcement of parking rules, gate availability (gates opening and closing by the cops with no known rhyme or reason...and yes I mean during the same game, we have witnessed it on several occasions), the abusive and authoritative in-charge-wanna-be's all have made my game day experience as crappy as the play on the field. <O:p</O:pDriving to the game Friday I literally found myself tensing up in the car waiting for the expected confrontation as I entered the parking lots....this is simply outrageous.<O:p</O:p As to the advice about not listening to them...well...that's frequently the course I have taken. And although I usually get what I want...that course has also ended up with an attendant calling a tow-truck (I did not get towed...but you can imagine the scenario), and once a MHP officer forcing me to move (3 spaces away in the same row, btw) and threatening me with arrest if I did not. I could regale you with absurd story after story, the many attempts I am aware of to have the Chief's organization intervene and make the process reasonable, but the bottom like is that they (along with the cops and parking attendants) have shown they don't give a f$$k. Egads, I actually believe this hit a nerve.:cuss: |
This is the first year that we will have the RV. Do we have to go in Gate 6? We are used to going in Gate 5.

Heh, I had one of the ditch pigs try to chase after my car one year, because I went into a different area to park close to the tailgate party. They became winded and gave up the chase after about 20 steps and went away.

i just act like i dont see or hear them.

Dipshits resorted to using human fenceposts holding yellow caution tape last year. They'd try to funnel people in and move the yellow tape along the parking spots. I still saw quite a few people just drive right through it and ignore them.
I'm sure those people working the lots are loving life... |
The hilarity is when they try this at Kauffman when the lot is 1/156th full.

This is why they have the cops and attendant supervisors in golf carts. |

They find the most miserable sonsofbitches to put out there for attendants. These guys know that they are going to have their "authority" questioned at some point while herding everyone into their too-small-to-comfortably-park spaces, so they hit EVERYONE with attitude. You should have just swung the truck around, and promised to never do it again when they got all pissy. Rinse and repeat for the next game.

But, if a MHP jacketed cop asks you to do something, better do it because they can ruin your day. Saw it happen way too many times. |
Pick your battles man.
