I'm a Locker guy myself. Going to watch a LOT of PAC 10 ball this season in the faint hope we do something at the QB position.
|
The answer is Gabbert.

shit, I'd be ok with ANY of the following: gabbert, luck, locker, or mallett (not as big a fan or mallett, but it would show me that the front office cares about the QB position).
|
Jake Locker is going to lose to BYU.
|
Would take Luck over Locker ten out of ten times.

I'm a draft any of these QBs coming out next year/I don't care which one it is at this point kind of guy myself.

And some KU fans were placing calls for their diminutive QB. Gabbert is going to be a top-15 pick. |
Yes please.
|
It sucks that Luck isn't declaring this year, because he wants to get his degree

I don't normally watch a lot of college ball but again will try to keep up on Locker this year.

Count me a Locker fan. |
Locker? I hardly know her!

**** you guys. Locker > Luck 10 out of 10 times. **** BYU.
|
If he's legit BYU and not one of those fakes, he's mormon, and he'll be like 45 years old when he's drafted anyway and he'll only play like two years in the league, so I don't want him. lol

Shouldn't this be called The Official Pipe Dream thread?

Cassel will step up and make you all forget drafting a QB.
Kidding ! |
Playing now.
Doesn't have a great arm. Some not-so-great moments in the first quarter. (Gabbert will be a better pro, not even close.) |
Poor throw. Hasn't been very accurate thus far.
Must have been importing last night. |
I don't see it. Stafford was a much better prospect in my mind.
|
Why compare him to Stafford?
|
I am just comparing him to other top rated qbs last few years. He is not as good as bradford and stafford
|
Luck doesn't have Staffords tools, that's why I think he might fall a bit on draft day, he doesn't have the natural ability some of these guys do.

Luck is the heady/smart player that doesn't have great tools. That isn't to say he won't be a good or even great NFL player but things like that do usually affect guys on draft day.
|
I think Luck benefits from having had a great running game and a great QB coach (Harbaugh). I wonder what he would do in a different situation
|
The guy has terrific command of the offense, and he knows how to read a defense. I like a lot of his intangibles. I think he needs to stay in school 1 more year at least. His footwork is fantastic, and his release is top notch. If he went pro after this year, I think it would be a mistake. But I'd love to have him if he goes pro his Junior year. Very smart player.
|
He's definitely got the intangibles to QB in the NFL. He seems to be a bit quick to run and his accuracy's been a bit off. I think kcrockaholic is right. Another year.
|
Rock wants 2 more years of suckage and more Cassel!

What stands out to me is that first of all, he's a RS Sophomore, and he already knows how to read a defense. He works from a pro style offense. He does lock onto his #1 option a lot, and doesn't always look off his guy. He has very smooth feet. He has a tendency to miss high when he misses, and that is because during his release his stride is too long. If he shortens his stride, and makes it more consistent, rather than having a perfect stride on one pass, and a short stride on another, that will go a long ways towards his development. I loved how he squared his shoulders on that pass during the rollout to the left. Great decision, and great throw. I think 1 more year, and he will be a legit top 20 draft pick depending on his development. |
If you want Ryan Mallett you better subscribe to the Saccopoo team building theory.

I'd say Mallett has to be the guy. Unless Locker falls. But I'm not a big fan of him at this point. I need to watch some more of him. |

I'm simply saying that Mallet is probably going to progress a like like Bledsoe did. Early in his career Bledsoe was a bit thinner and mobile as he aged he got thicker and had no mobility.
With Mallet's size and that he's already more filled out, I'd have serious hesitance to put him beyond a bad line. |

Andrew Luck made Chuck Norris cry in a staring contest.
|
I don't remotely believe the Chiefs are taking a QB, we'll take like Julio Jones or Johnathan Baldwin and think he and McCluster can do the Moss/Welker thing and make Cassel look competent.

He has a nice burst off the LOS. But his routes aren't as crisp as Michael Floyd's. |
I think Baldwins better than he is actually.

saw him in yesterday's game ... his accuracy needs improvement imo

Hell I forgot I made one of these last year.

The chiefs have had no luck this year....what makes us think that we'll have some come draft time?
