Dan Lefevour anyone?

After watching the guy on tape and reading up on him for a few minutes I have to say I don't see much difference from him to tebow other than the friar tuck haircut and better mechanics. Still even though hes a shotgun QB I like him as a developmental prospect. He was a 2010 prospect that was projected to go from as early as the late first round to rounds 2-4 I like what I've seen. I'd way rather go with him than Leinart. Am I alone?

I think I saw his name mentioned a couple of times in the cut threads.

Yeah. Yeah. I did.

The difference is that spread QBs have a bigger learning curve.

Pro Set college QBs are ahead in reading defense and drop back mechanics.

I was being facetious.

I said a number of times I like him as a better option than Leinart.

I knew the facetious part just hadn't seen your opinion. I would like picking a QB with at least some hope of greatness.

KcFanInGA 09-05-2010 09:00 AM

If we are gonna bring in a qb (and I think we should), LeFevour gets my vote.

Weis had dinner with him before the draft. But, then again, Weis will have dinner with anybody.... seven, eight times a day.

AndChiefs 09-05-2010 10:26 AM

I think we should pick up every QB that was dropped and make our team entirely QB's. One of them is bound to work out.

Random qb: "I can't throw the ball and catch it too"
Haley: "On this team that's your job"

Dave Lane 09-05-2010 11:17 AM

If only Girlbac had known that. :)

The Franchise 09-05-2010 12:52 PM

Bengals signed him.

Mi_chief_fan 09-05-2010 12:55 PM

He moves pretty well for a fat guy, but he has a noodle arm. No thanks.

you better just be glad that Pioli doesn't cut Croyle too ... just to prove that Cassel is "the man"

I'm a Western Michigan grad, so I never miss a chance to bust on a CMU guy. He's a big guy, moves pretty well, but I stand by the noodle arm comment. He's a dink-n-dunk guy.

FireDogg 09-05-2010 04:19 PM

Exactly what we don't need, another dink and dunk guy

LaChapelle 09-06-2010 09:23 AM

Compared to Palko? This is a quote from just after the draft.

The 6-1, 209 McCoy has drawn favorable comparisons to Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints with his pinpoint accuracy and leadership intangibles. McCoy completed 70.3% of his passes, throwing for 112 touchdowns and 13,253 yards, both school records.

"I really like Colt McCoy," said Brees on Thursday night. "He's got some charisma and moxie to him.

"He has the ability to develop very quickly at the NFL level."

Has Brees watched him play at the Pro Level? Oy...

If I remember correctly the raiders got to the superbowl on gannon's dink and dunk arm. Same arm that won him the mvp.
