Trade advice needed
 

I've been offered Ryan Matthews for Matt Forte and Mark Clayton.

Good deal or bad?

I think Martz wants to turn Forte into Faulk II. Personally, I'd say no.

Matthews looked just like "a guy" Monday, but that may have partially been a function of elevated play by the Chief's D. Keep in mind that Forte usually kills the Lions.

Would you have made this trade before week 1? Absolutely. I'm not sure that selling high on Forte is a bad call, and this is from a Forte owner in 1 league who tried to trade for him in another.

As inconsistent as Mark Clayton has been he was targeted 16 times by Bradford and IS his #1 option.

Forte could be Faulk like and is a keeper especially in PPR leagues.

Mathews seems like a bunch of hype to me so tell trade proposer to GFH!

I wouldnt trade Forte for anything this year. I wish i would have drafted him.

Dude could have 2000 yards from scrimmage total.

mathews coudn't produce against the chiefs and forte put like 200 apy. thats a hell no!

A rookie RB for a RB in a Martz system and a receiver who played with the wunderkid QB of the Rams in college (not that I think Clayton is gonna light it all on fire or anything....)? No thanks.

It's really hard to say without knowing the depth of your roster at RB/WR - scoring - lineup requirements. Could be a horrible idea or something nice.

RBs- Forte, Spiller, Barber, Jacobs, Taylor

WRs- R. Moss, Steve Smith (NYG), Welker, Knox, Mike Williams (Tampa)

I would try and give up a different combo. Maybe Barber and Welker for Mathews?

I would do this trade. I don't think you are giving up anything special in Clayton (compared to what you have) and you are upgrading your starting RB. This is the time to sell high on Forte. He always goes crazy against the Lions but is otherwise pretty crappy. Remember he got stuffed 3 straight times from the 1 yard line, by Detroit.

I'm going to hold off on it now. I want to see how Forte does against the Cowboys. I know running lanes might be tough, but he'll catch the ball.

Depends on how the scoring is setup, but he holds a ton of value as pass catching RB.
