Just a Reminder

I'm sure everyone remembers last years Broncos team that started 6-0, and then imploded.

While I agree that it is nice to be 3-0, that doesn't mean the team (or some players) don't need to be subject to analysis. Cassel's play has been awful, and totally deserves its critisism. Cassel has not led his team to 3-0.... he's followed his team to 3-0.

So before you call into a radio station, or make a post on a messageboard about the Chiefs fans being pathetic because they are complaining while sitting at 3-0... think about last years Broncos, and remind yourself that things can change quickly in the NFL.

The chiefs mission is to "continue to get better" and as fans that have been supporting the team for lengthy amounts of time, we should continue to expect them to get better.

Yes, lets make some more threads on ChiefsPlanet or the Chiefs will get cocky!

Lonewolf Ed 09-27-2010 12:35 PM

So, what you are saying, if I am following you, is that the Chiefs are not a lock to go to the Super Bowl this season? :hmmm:

Molitoth 09-27-2010 12:42 PM

eh, I guess you would've had to hear the stupid caller on 810 to understand my point.

Ah, there is your problem. :thumb:

A man should have enough respect for himself not to listen to sports radio callers.

Mr. Flopnuts 09-27-2010 12:44 PM

LOL, it's funny how everyone was "happy" to go 8-8 this year, and now that we're 3-0 we're suddenly a Super Bowl contending team. Get ****ing real...............

This team is EXCEEDING expectations right now. Shut the **** up and enjoy the ride already. Christ.

Rain Man 09-27-2010 12:45 PM

On a related note, I hope we don't bench our starters in Weeks 14 through 16. I know there's a risk of injury, but if they have a chance to make history they should be allowed to pursue it.

boogblaster 09-27-2010 12:54 PM

8-8 is a prolly a lock .. 9-7 or 10-6 is a hopeful .....

EXACTLY!!!!!!! Some people need to come back down to earth. Im as happy as a vulture on boot hill with where we are, but naive, I am not.

beer bacon 09-27-2010 12:57 PM

Complaining isn't going to change anything. If we are going to implode at some point, then people should be more eager to get all the entertainment and joy out of this ride while it lasts. If we our team goes on a six game losing streak, there will be plenty of time to whine and moan when it actually happens. Enjoy this while it lasts. It isn't a difficult concept.

beer bacon 09-27-2010 12:58 PM

If I just make more post about Cassel being worse then Hitler, I can finally put KC over the top...

Los Pollos Hermanos 09-27-2010 12:59 PM

I will still be very happy with 8-8.

Twenty bucks that Cassel can't move his booty like this:

Enjoying the wins is one thing; but saying that the chiefs don't have any improvments to make because of thier record is blasphemy.

I haven't seen one person say what you are claiming has been said, though.

Buehler445 09-27-2010 01:18 PM

I've thought about that too. It could happen. Hopefully it won't. I think we'll be brought back down to earth in the next 2 games.

All these bash topics make for a boring read!
Some of you have been beyond cautious due so many years of bad coaching that you doubted everything the Chiefs were capable of in the last three weeks. You go into I told you so mode for the following week by tearing apart the team any way you can. You want to see Charles run all day at 25 yards a pop, see Cassel throw it more than 5 yards deep and score within one drive every time with a long bomb to receivers we don't have. Well....snap out of it!
Even at 3-0 some of you still find something to comfort yourself if they lose by saying stupid crap. We're the 2010 Chiefs not the 2009 Broncos. I don't need to be reminded of a team we're not. fuckin stupid!

Who is saying that?

Hog's Gone Fishin 09-27-2010 02:24 PM

Do I need to remind you guys the difference between the 6-0 team coached by a MORON and the Chiefs who have probably one of the top 5 coaching staffs in the NFL. If we were to go 6-0 which we won't I would then expect nothing less than a 13-3 season. McDaniels is a ****ing moron so enjoy our ride to the AFCW title.

ROFL

Honestly, this place is much better at times like this when you guys are all fired up...

Just hold on loosely but don't let go

RealSNR 09-27-2010 03:41 PM

Chiefs opponents are 1-8 this year.

That's kinda bad.

beer bacon 09-27-2010 03:43 PM

I thought you couldn't tell much from the record this early. That is what everyone was saying about our matchup with San Francisco before we curb stomped them.

BigMeatballDave 09-27-2010 03:52 PM

I've already thought about this. It could happen. If it does, it'll suck. But 8-8 is better than I had them finishing this season.

CupidStunt 09-27-2010 03:52 PM

Valid point, but KC has great coaching and legitimate young talent. Denver had McDaniels, Marshall, Doom and a crusty Bailey. Even if they burn out, they'll be around for a number of years yet. Denver is just crusty old on that crappy defense, has an idiot running the show and an epic bust QB waiting in the wings (Orton is surprisingly decent - not championship caliber but they'll make a big mistake kicking him out for Tebow).

Part of that is because of the Chiefs.

Without the Chiefs, they are a combined 1-5.

The lone win coming against Jacksonville.

But you can only play who you're scheduled to play. They'll get a chance to play some good teams coming up.
