Coffee with extra shot(s) of espresso dropped in ftw.

Espresso makes coffee look like diet coke. |

You see them order Lattes and Mochas... Try actually knowing something about a subject before talking.... |

Intimidated by espresso....sad. |

All I need is coffee and sugar. I just don't find the logic in paying 5 bucks for lattes and mochas and it's not a knock on Starbuck's, it's a knock on coffee shops period and the people who frequent them. |

YOU were the one getting all bent about it...go back and read... |

Dude, lighten the **** up and cut down on your espresso intake. I was merely ****ing around. You took it seriously and now you're being defensive about absolutely nothing. |

Get over yourself, pillowbiter. Maybe if you had actually ever tried espresso or knew what you were talking about you wouldn't be back-peddling harder than a reerun going downhill on a bike with no brakes. |
I vote bored

You weren't talking shit, you were being an asshole. I made an observation you didn't like and took offense to and decided to throw the asshole card at me. And on top of everything, you make an insult about my parents. |

I prefer coffee and drink it every day. |

I sometimes fix the computers for a national coffee business. They usualy offer me a free cup. It is nice of them but when they ask me what I want is sounds like they are speaking Latin. So I get in a panic and start looking around the room for for clues. I then respond with Ummm Uhh......Maxwell House?
Then they have pitty on me and serve up a beverage with whipped cream on it. I thank them and head out. It does taiste good, though. |
Someone sure got their panties up in a bunch over this thread. I don't know any self-respecting man that drinks espresso.

I was in a Starbucks once quite some time back, and I witnessed this old timer come up to the counter. The trendy douche working the counter asked what he wanted, and the fella said "Gimme a coffee." The counter douche stood there for a long moment with this dumbfounded expectant look on his face, and with every ounce of pretentiousness possible, replied with "Sir, this is Starbucks."
I wanted to climb over the counter and strangle him with his own gay scarf. Haven't been back in a Starbucks since. |
I like espresso fine, the problem is I want to drink coffee all day long. I'd end up going through 10 of those little cups during the course of a day.

Honestly, I was one of those dudes that ordered a latte on my way into the office every morning. When I realized I was spending $75/month on Starbuck's, I decided to return to store-bought coffee beans and make my own coffee. Forgive me for not having the pomposity to waste my money on over-priced caffeine drinks these days. |
Yep, I've been making making my first 16 oz cup of coffee of the day at home and saving even the first $0.75. The lady who makes the coffee at work insists on making decaf so I have to go to the coffee shop once per day to get my fix. If I have more than 32 oz, decaf is fine.

Cafe con Leche FTW...

Seems to me that Pawnmower is trying too hard now that he's learned about the n00b of the year thing.

Not only was it the most popular order, it was my favorite order cause it took about 6 seconds to fill and on to the next customer. |
can you have irish tea?

I'd probably spend 40 bucks a week on coffee.
You can't get non-espresso coffee here. Even McDonalds has an espresso machine. Absolutely no one drinks what you lot call "coffee". if you want it long and black you can get it that way but it's either more espresso or more water. Not out one of those jugs that people walk around "diners" with in America |
Coffee
|
My new kick is cold brew. Like you do with sun tea, let the grounds mingle loose in a big caraffe for a day, then run it through your liner. Stick it in the fridge. Strong, flavorful and not at all bitter. But I've just used it for iced drinks. Dunno if it pays off in the microwave.

Espresso for me. I rarely drink either one.

Exactly |
Coffee....not sure if it is true or not, but the lady at my coffee house said the milder the brew, the more the caffeine. So, if picking up some Folgers at the grocery store, go for the light Breakfast Blend if a kick of caffeine is what you are wanting. She even said the lighter blend had more of a kick then espresso.
|
coffee black
But I often go to Dunkin Doughnuts to get a big cup of coffee + a double shot of expresso added to it! I think it's called the dominator or something. |
